I mean seriously, clear back in December of 2008, our second-ever Moxie Fab World challenge featured owls and other creatures of the forest in our Get Woodsy challenge. Two of the five winning entries featured cutie-pie owl guys. And they've been going strong every since.
Which begs the question, what is it, exactly, about owls?
Maybe it's because they happen to be my all-time favorite bird. Maybe it's because owls have a certain irresistible charm. Or perhaps it's because they are the harbingers of truth and wisdom everywhere.
Or maybe it's because they are just so gall-durned cute.
Whatever the reason, every year I delight in My Owl Barn, a blog that offers a FREE downloadable calendar for owl-lovers everywhere in which you can create your own calendar by selecting twelve of your favorite owls from over 40 offerings.
I've already featured one of them HERE.
Which got me thinking, if I were to put a calendar together for myself, which would I choose? Check it:

They REALLY ARE CUTE!!! PERSONALLY, I couldn't/can't figure out the fascination with the owls! BUT, I DID give in & get an OWL PUNCH awhile back! AND YES, I've used it! After seeing all the SUPER CUTE things people did with it! LOL I'm just SLOOOOOW at getting these things I guess! :)
He he! Very cute. The first one is definitely my favourite. They're a phenomenon with longevity. Reckon that when chevrons, hexies and neon are a distant memory, mr owl will still be there- still pulling at our heart strings! Off to check out that owl calendar.

lovin the owls. thought that trend had gone awhile ago but seems to have made a come back! Cuteness galore!
Your Owls are very cute! I really do like Owls, but I have never been a fan of them for paper crafting. People have made some cute cards with them though. Maybe it is the age bracket I make cards for and I figure they probably would not appreciate them on their birthday or thinking of you card. I could be totally wrong! Might have to get an owl stamp and see what remarks I get!
My mom loves owls so I made a calendar for her from that fabulous site. She has now decided to embroider each owl from the calendar. I can't wait to see the results!

Lovely owl images. Love that blog, too. I think owls are so charming because there is no other bird that come close to resembling it. Also, we do get many chances to see it in the wild...just like cute Pandas! :)

Oooh, my pal Patti Backer has an owl painting as one of the 40+ images. I have my calendar on my desk at work. It was so difficult to pick only 12!
