Winged maple seeds~ahhh, they bring back some lovely memories of growing up in the Northeast :)
I don't think I have ever seen a winged maple seed! How neat. Cool, original design. :)

Beautiful!
We called these "Helicopter Seeds" when I was a child. A few years ago we moved to Wisconsin where these trees are EVERYWHERE! So, last fall, this 50+ year old giggled as she threw them into the air and watched them spin all the way to the ground.
PS The bright orange leaves are breathtaking every fall, too!
