Holiday Cards & More Week: Sensational Seasonal Decor

Haven't we been having just so much fun in this week-long celebration of the release of Holiday Cards & More, my paper crafty friends? I've had such a good time showing off some of my personal favies from the issue, and I'm not gonna lie, you might say that today I've saved some of the very best for last.

Because that's what paper crafted seasonal decor does, doesn't it? It lasts and lasts and lasts. And if you're like me, you know that one of the things that is the most fun about Christmastime is pulling out the holiday decor that you've gathered (and possibly made) over the years and setting it out on the mantel, tabletops, walls, and shelves for your family and friends to enjoy.

And man-oh-man do we have an assemblage of loveliness in this category for you! Too bad I can only show you three, because I could have easily shown you every single one of the items from the issue they are THAT moxie fab. Check it:

Season's Greetings Shadow Box by Vera Wirianta Yates, p. 158

Moxie Fab Alert: Oh my friends! This shadow box is so trendy and so ah-mazing it could have come straight from the National Stationery Show floor itself. Between the layers and dimension, the perfect pops of red, and the very idea of a bird on a swing, this project has me swooning with yuletide joy!

E19 Santa's Clothesline Frame by Beth Opel, p. 154

Moxie Fab Alert: How does one possibly get over the cute factor in this project? And those itty bitty clothespins? *Sigh.*

Peaceful Snowflake Ornament by Windy Robinson, p. 158

Moxie Fab Alert: It's hard to believe that this gorgeous ornament is paper crafted. But when you run this snowflake die through a die cut machine using foil paper, the sparkly possibilities are positively endless!

Do you have any paper crafted home decor that you bring out for the holidays? How have these featured projects inspired you today? Answer any and/or all of these questions by midnight EDT on Sunday, September 23 and I'll draw 2 random luckies to win this holly jolly issue!

Decking the halls,

~Cath

PS Hold onto your sleigh bells! As if that weren't enough for your daily dose of inspiration, Holly's got a blog hop to end our Holiday Cards & More Week you simply cannot miss. Click HERE to start hoppin' through the 12 Blogs of Christmas!

PPS This is your last weekend to  link up your approaches to our Card Design Handbook Week challenges. I can't WAIT to see how this informative special issue has inspired YOU! You have until Monday at midnight EDT.

Oh gosh, I have so many ideas floating around in my head right now! What inspiration, from the Christmas blog hop to the projects on Moxie Fab! I don't know which one to try first! Right now I can't think of any paper crafts I put out at Christmas, but have lots of fabric crafts that I put out each that I made. I was into fabric before I did paper crafts. This year I am going to make some paper chains, just like in first grade, for decorating my tree or mixing with my old fashioned Santa Collection! Or Primitive Snowman Collection! Hope I can sleep tonight! Corrine Ann

My favorite paper crafted ornament is one my son made in second grade (he is 21 now). It is a wreath made out of jigsaw puzzle pieces spray painted green, glued to a piece of cardstock with his class picture in the middle of it.
