Look outside your window. Can you see it? The snow, falling softly to ground? The fire is lit in the hearth, the cinnamon candle is burning, and the gingerbread you just put in the oven is beginning to fill the house with its festive smell, beckoning, calling to that place in your heart where love and warmth reside.

Peace, Love, Christmas Card by Beth Opel, p. 78
Moxie Fab Alert: This card is so simple and yet so graphically fun I can hardly stand it! Between the color palette, the trendy icons, the twinkly patterned paper, and that cutie speech bubble, this card brings out the joy that is Christmas big time!
Wishing You Peace & Joy Card by Kimberly Crawford, p. 32
Moxie Fab Alert: A more traditional approach, the classic patterns and colors that Kimberly has put together for this card are absolutely striking. And the pine cone spray at the top? It tugs at the nature-lover in me, evoking strong memories of the pine cone displays my mother would place on the mantel and side tables of my childhood home.
Making Spirits Bright Photo Card by Shanna Vineyard, p. 9
Moxie Fab Alert: With an entire section dedicated to photo cards, this is just one delightful example of the creative possibilities when it comes to showing off your family, your humor, and/or your photography skills at Christmastime. Isn't this such a fun way to display festive photos of your family members?
Do you make handmade cards at Christmas? Why or why not? Do you prefer to send photo cards? If so, have you ever paper crafted them yourself? Which of these cards inspire you the most today and why? Answer any and/or all of these questions by no later than midnight EDT on Sunday, September 23 and I'll draw two random luckies to win a copy of this merry, merry issue!

I love the pine cone and plaid card! I am quite traditional with most of my Christmas designs and pinecones, boughs and natural designs are always right.
I have never done the photo card thing though I love receiving them. Never had a photo I thought was card worthy I guess!
Looks like a great magazine. I had better go shopping. :)
I definitely make holiday cards. In fact I have about six made already. I look forward to being inspired to make more as I plan to send some to a charity.
My favorite has to be the pine cone card.It brings back fond memories of making pine cone ornaments for the residents of a nursing home.
Thanks for sharing what looks like it will be another wonderful issue.
My favorite is the homey feel of the pine cones with the plaid. I do make all my christmas cards by hand. Usually around 100 of them.
I'm making my Christmas cards for the first time this year - never normally have the time but started them in January this year thanks to 52cct challenge blog.
I've never sent or received a photo card - I don't think they are really a done thing in the UK but I really love the one you're featuring here today it's my favourite of the 3 for the colours and fun feel it gives.
I have been making my own Christmas cards for about 7 years now.
I do make my own Christmas cards. I feel that's it's more personal to give a handmade one rather than store bought. While the plaid pine cone card is my style, I do really love the photo card. Have never made one before, but think it's a fun way to send photos to family and friends you don't see very often.
I do make my own cards and love doing it. All these cards having something that caught my eye. I have never done a photo card but was inspired by that one the most. Inspired to get a fun individual photo of each family member this year instead of the traditional group photo.
Love the card with the pine cone. I like the traditional Christmas designs. I love making my own Christmas cards.

My favourite card is 'making spirits bright'. I love making Christmas cards. I make several of the same for distant family and some friends, and for close family and friends, I make individual cards geared more towards their personalities.
I love the photo card! I usually do make my Xmas cards but I never thought of making my own photo cards. Hmmmm! ;)
I like all the cards, but the pine cone card is probably my fave. I make about 150 cards to send every Christmas. I tend to make about 10 different designs so that I don't get too bored with all the same. I go for a simple design but add bling or heat embossing to up the "wow" factor. Thanks for a chance to win another fabulous issue. :D
Yes I do make my Christmas cards, because I love the whole process from picking the the colors to designing the card and giving something I made my self in a email world.I have done several photo cards with windows for the photo.I like the pine cone The design and simplicity caught my eye.
I try to make my own cards, but I never have enough. I need to start making cards earlier! Thanks for the chance to win!
YES! I do make my own Christmas Cards! I've ALWAYS sent out Christmas cards to friends & familly; now making my own cards, I can't IMAGINE sending store bought! I haven't tried the photo cards though and our kids are near grown. My FAVORITE is Peace & Joy by Kimberly. It's more TRADITIONAL & seems quite HOMEY to me! AND that's the way I like to make Christmas---HOMEY! We live in the country now & I like to have that country/ homey feel to my cards like it's straight from our wonderful little spot in the mountains!
I always make my own holiday cards, because I like them, recipients love them, AND because it gives me a reason to use all my holiday supply stash! Thanks for some inspiration on a Monday morning. ;)
I love to make cards for my family but that only includes grandparents and the siblings of my husband and myself. Our extended family is enormous so it would take months to do that. I also like to make cards for close family friends and card drives. fav card from this trio was the photo card. Thanks for the chance to win.
Love the pine cone spray card! I don't usually find time to make my own Christmas cards, but often make cards for other people to send. :)
Can't wait to see more from this issue!
I just LOVE Beth's word bubble card! I've been making my own holiday cards for almost 10 years, but I'm ashamed to say I didn't get all of them mailed out last year (which should make this year just a little easier!).
I do make my own christmas cards but only for a select few. I choose intricate designs and give these to people who I know will really appreciate them.
Gorgeous cards! I love making holiday cards, but most of my family wants a photo card, so that is what I send!
I do make homemade cards at Christmas--I like to make them and people like to receive them. As a nature lover I like Kimberly's card the most.
Honestly I do both...we order photo cards for a majority of people, but I give handmade cards to kids' teachers, close family members, and alomg with gifts. Best of both!
I always make Christmas Cards and somehow integrate pictures.
They all inspire me, but I love Shanna's card with the twine and photos! Super cute!
Love Beth's clean & simple card!! I plan to make several different types of cards this year... guess I better get started! :)
I have been making my own Xmas cards for several years now - I make small batches when the mood or inspiration strikes all year round. I put them in a drawer and come mid-Nov, I check to see how close I am to my goal and make the rest. I usually only have to make cards for teachers and individuals at that point.
I have been making handmade Christmas cards and gift tags for several years now. Each year I pick a color combo and everything from the tree to the tags, bows, wrap, house decorations is coordinating (kind of a tradition now). Honestly, I have never thought about photo cards...until now! Something new to explore. Tough to pick a fav but I am going with Beth's card - love her clean & simple style!
I love to make my own Christmas cards! I'm a sucker for Christmas-themed supplies so I figure I should use them, too!
This is only my second year making my own holiday cards but I love it! My favorite card is the top one with the speech bubble. So cute!
Peace, Love, Christmas! Adorable sentiments!
I make handmade cards at Christmas and also send out the photo cards. With a six year old, our relatives near and far love to have her picture and see how she is changing from year to year. I have thought about making my own photo card, but have just never gotten around to it. Maybe inspiration will strike this year!
The most inspiring card to me is the classic card with the pinecones. Beautiful! I do make all my own Christmas cards (about 70). Once or twice, we've incorporated my hubby's talent with photoshop to add a photo element to the card, but I prefer good old paper and ink (and glitter). Thanks for the chance to win!
I love to make Christmas cards, but since I leave things until the last minute, I usually end up ordering 1-hour photo cards. :)
I love to make my own
Christmas cards. The peace,
love and joy card inspired
me the most. I love the
simple and clean look.
I LOVE the photo card! I usually send out a photo card for Christmas and this gives me the idea to add embelishments! Can't wait to see this new issue!
aww holiday cards are just so fun...I love all these amazing projects...thanks for sharing.
I make my own holiday cards and have already started to think about this year's design. I was most inspired by Beth's card because I love the simple design, the color combination and the use of a strong background image.
I have been making my own Christmas cards for the last few years now. It's just so special to send a handcrafted card if you can. I love the peace, joy and Christmas card, simply beautiful!!!
Thanks for the sneak peek. I really like the "wishing you peace and joy" card - plaid and Christmas go together for me.
I love the photo card...great effect with all the Santa hats! I like to make Christmas cards, but find it harder every year since I love to use ribbon and other embellies that the post office doesn't accommodate so well!
I have been making Christmas cards since 1992, starting out with photographs and then stamps. This year I would like to combine a picture of my sons with stamped snowflakes but don't know exactly how (it would probably help if I already had a good photo of them) and it's getting later and later! Panic!
Thank you for the inspiration!
I am so giddy for this it's not even funny! I can't wait to get my hands on it! I have been making Christmas cards since January because I do craft fairs in November! I have about 300 done so far! Right now I am using last year's issue for inspiration so I can't wait for the new one! Thanks for the chance to win!
Photo card inspired me the most. Because I do card classes now where we create "x" amount of Christmas cards, I have opted lately to create my own. However, photo cards are the easiest choice because you can print them out with everything on them and slip them in an envelope. Voila! I say this because I send out about 90 cards each Christmas. It is a 2 day task just to write them out and then address and mail. Phew! Can't wait to check out this inspiration magazine!
Oh definitely that photo card! What a great way to incorporate some personal aspects to the Christmas card!
Really love the Making Spirits Bright photo card! I have a standing order for handmade holiday cards from several people, and I also send out my own creations at Christmas, as well as making gift card sets for family and friends. Would love a copy of this publication for inspiration!!
Yes, I make my Christmas cards! I'm getting a plan in mind now, but I would love to see the new Holiday Cards before I start!!! Thanks for the chance to win!
I don't really like to make Christmas cards. Making Spirits Bright Photo Card by Shanna Vineyard inspired me because I like to do photo cards as most folks I share cards with at Christmas are those who I don't see regularly... TFS!!!!
I purchased the "Card Design Handbook" last week -- - LOVE IT!!! and I can only imagine how wonderful this Holiday issue will be!!
Thank you for sharing my card, Cath!!!! That is a great way to start my morning!! HUGS! :)
I do both-make handmade cards and send handmade photo cards! This looks like an amazing issue! Thanks for the chance!
The photo card has really got the creative juices flowing. I have never made photo cards but I really want to send photo cards out this year.
I do make handmade cards for Christmas. I love the first card. I'm thinking about CASEing it for a birthday card idea. So cute.
I am in a Christmas club, called The 12 Kits of Christmas. We make Christmas cards every month with the kit that is sent to us from one of the girls in the club. So we have plenty of Christmas cards. One of the girls in the club is on the cover of this issue.
I love the pinecone card. I send out handmade cards every year.
Cath! This made my day! Thanks for featuring my card on the blog! So fun!
I make all my Christmas cards each year and usually they are all different! I may use the same theme for some and there might be some that are similar, but I enjoy the process of creating each one! I started in August and am making lots of progress. I love to do this ahead of time so that I won't be rushed and can enjoy making them. I can't wait to see this issue as I might need some new ideas to spark my creativity at this point.
I do make cards during Christmas and I am totally inspired by the second card. Love the focal area.
Making our Christmas cards in 2008 was what got me started with this wonderful hobby! I'm wondering how many I'll have a chance to make this year because of our move but I haven't given up yet! :)
Hi Cath, I have been making Christmas for more then 10 years now, and I usually try to incoporate a photo of the kids for the benefits of the oversea relatives. So "the Making Spirits Bright Photo Card" by Shanna Vineyard inspired me the most. She design is both clever and wonderful!
I do make Christmas cards, but I've never made a photo holiday card. I'm most inspired by Susan's card because it's different from my more traditional style!
I like to make my own cards at Christmas. I make each person's card different. For instance, I have an aunt who loves angels so I make a card with angels on them for her. I have never sent or made photo cards, though I have received them. All the cards are lovely.
I make my own paper crafted cards. I usually make each one different rather than doing a whole bunch of one design. Luckily I don't have a large family I need to send them to! I'm usually drawn to traditional color schemes so I really love that pinecone card!
I usually make cards, but sometimes they are New Years cards or Valentine cards, depending on how late I am.
I like the Peace, Love Christmas card. A unique idea to use the peace sign.
Lovely cards! The pinecone one really caught my eye. I have only made a my cards a couple of times. This year I think I will make some just for family members and close friends.
I always make my own cards - but they are never photo cards. I don't care to send folks my photo, LOL. I am a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas so I love the card with the pine cone. It's lovely!
I love the pictures of todays post! Especially the layout with all the cheerful smiles under the santa hats! I do make my own crhistmas cards. The reactions are so totally worth it. My friends and family really apreciate their handcrafted cards. Thank you so much for a chance to win this yummie magazine!
I do make my own cards but I don't send pictures. (No kids yet and no one cares to look at me and the hubs - haha) It's a lot of "work" but doesn't feel like it - Christmas is my favorite season to craft for! :)
I've been making handmade Christmas cards for 15 years--and I usually just include a photo, I don't make the card strictly around the photo. I have to say I'm a fan of the pine cone card too!
I make my own Christmas cards. I love the pinecone card!! I don't do photo cards but the one here is beaytiful!
I have made Christmas photo cards for friends with their kids pictures and a cute whimsical Santa! She loved them!!
The pinecone card is uber sweet...I love plaids. I have never made a Chrismas Photo Card. The one you have posted would be the perfect inspiration for a great scrapbook page! I usually go for the handmade cards...people who know I make cards just seem to expect them.
I adore the card with multiple family photos with santa hats. Great layout. I make cards every year and try to incorporate our family pictures too.
I do not send out Christmas cards but since I can not resist all the wonderful Christmas stamps and products, I do make some Christmas cards for Operation Write Home. I love holiday photo cards and look forward to reading about them in the magazine.
I have always made a few Special Christmas cards for family and close friends (maybe 8-10). This year I plan to broaden my horizon AND that number because of all the beautiful inspiration from around the world with Blogging.
PS: this looks like another fab magazine to add to my collection :)
and yet...the sun is shining--the grass is green...the apple and pear trees sway...
I do craft my own Christmas cards Cath--and try to incorporate a photo in them too! I love Shanna's card with the postage-size photos...might just borrow that for this year's design!?!
Beth's card is fantastic, love the simple clean design.
I do a combo of both. Photo cards for the mass mailing, and then little individual homemade cards for my special people list:)
I love the photo card with the Santa Hats, and also the pine cone one... just love tradition.
And NO SNOW allowed until mid December! Sister...I live in snow land and shudder at the upcoming driving adventures!
I love to make handmade cards for special people on my Christmas list. For me, a handmade card is more personal and is a gift in and of itself.
I do make handmade christmas cards. I love the pine cone spray and the patterned paper on the traditional card. I would love to win a copy of the new magazine.
I make my cards for Christmas, but not with photos. I do make each on individually, though, so they are all different!
i always make some holiday cards. sometimes run out of time for christmas and have to make them new year cards. haven't used photos on the cards, but i do sometimes insert a photo card with a message.
I do make Christmas cards. Sometimes they are photo cards, all depends on the person I send them to. These cards are gorgeous!
I used to make all of my holiday cards, but now only make a few. Now that I have kids, I send both greeting cards and photos because my husband insists that a photo card is not a card.
Cath, I loved having a little peek inside Holiday Cards & More starting with these wonderful cards! I make a lot of Christmas cards but have never managed to make all of our cards. So I have to admit that I buy some Christmas cards! When our boys were small I used to make photo cards for their grannies but haven't made any in a while....maybe this year!
Oh, yes! I do make my Christmas cards! I've already started! As I create holiday cards to post on my blog, I start my stack of "to send" cards and by the time Dec. 1st rolls around, I'm just about ready to go!
Cath, I am in Fla and looking out my window. Snow you say, I only see the Bay. It's still beautiful. I love the pinecone card because it dose seem like snow to me.
Sometimes I make cards. Love these examples! Love the traditional look of the pine cone one.
My favourite of the 3 cards is the Wishing You Peace & Joy card. I do make cards at Christmas, but not all we send - it would take all year to make so many!
Yes, I LOVE to make Christmas cards! It is my most favorite holiday to paper craft!!! And this is right around the time I start. Looks like a fab issue!
I always make my own Christmas cards. Some years they are regular & some include in a photo.
About 75% of the cards I send at Christmas are home made. I have never done photo cards, I guess I am not organised enough, and I usually send a Christmas letter done on my computer which has family photos in it.
About 75% of the cards I send at Christmas are home made. I have never done photo cards, I guess I am not organised enough, and I usually send a Christmas letter done on my computer which has family photos in it.
I have done both. I love sending a picture of the kids and also love making cards, so this year I think I will make the cards and put a picture inside of the card instead of spending the extra money for the fancy boarder on the picture card. Love the idea of putting the photos in the front of a hand made card too! Cute idea!! :)
Wishing you peace and joy inspires me the most because it is a traditional Christmas card. For the last three years I have made all of my Christmas cards and tags. I use paper, stamps and embellishments.
All our Christmas cards are handmade now! Must get more done soon... :P
I love the Peace, Love, Christmas card. I can think of dozens of ways to take that inspiration and run with it!
I have been making my own Christmas cards for several years now ... and I plan to continue year after year!
I absolutely love Shanna's spin on a family photo card. Since I am a grandma with 14 grandkids, this would be a great idea to do for all 14 to let everyone see how much they have grown up.
I really like the Peace, Love, Christmas card. I've been making our Christmas cards for quite a few years now. I thought about doing photo cards but instead, just stick a wallet-sized photo of our son in the card with a family-update letter instead.
I make Christmas cards some years, others I send photo cards. It all depends on the state of life at the time. I always make some paper crafts for the holidays, though. So I don't feel too bad about the photo cards.
I like making Christmas cards and get inspiration from many places. It's interesting to see new technics and ideas to try every year.
Never made a photo card but I LOVE the photo card made here...makes me want to find my Santa hat and get my kids and camera and start clicking away! Gonna do that real soon!
This will be my 2nd year making my Christmas cards. I have been doing 5 a month with the help of the Christmas card challenge at Splitcoaststampers!
All 3 cards are pretty but the first one really does it for me!!! You had me at the peace sign!!! What a clever card!!! LOVE it!
Love that photo card example!!! I like to make my own Christmas cards, but so far they haven't incorporated photos on the outside, but I love the idea! I adore the homemade, personal touch that handmade cards bring to the holidays! :)
Love all of the examples although I've never done the photo card before. Personally, I prefer making my Christmas cards instead of buying them since it's way more personal and I can make a variety; especially since I start in January for the next year.
I used to make cards, I love creating them but usually run out of time. I come up with one design and them put them together assembly line style. My fav of the ones you showed is Shanna's, how cute are all of those little photos.
I do make my own cards. I like to share my creations with my friends and family. Even if I buy cards, I alter them somehow. I have made photo cards of our cats. My husband designs the cards and always has a funny caption. They go to our family and other friends who appreciate that we are cat lovers. I think my favorite card out of the 3 you've shown is Kimberly's, with the pine cones. Thanks for the opportunity to win my favorite Christmas card idea magazine!!
Looks like a great issue! I hand make all my Christmas cards. Sometimes I use a photo, sometimes I make unique designs (like one design per person) and sometimes I make 4 of one design, etc. I love the plaid and pine cone card, I'm a sucker for traditional Christmas! Thanks for the giveaway!
I've made my own Christmas cards as well as our Christmas party invitations. friends tell me they look forward to see what's coming each year. I love the Peace, Love and Christmas card. Thanks for sharing.
I usually make most of my Christmas cards. I have sent a photo card a few years ago before I started making my own. I do love the photo card shown here - Might have to re think what I am doing this year. Maybe combine both. Thanks for the ideas.
I make my own cards. Love the pine cone card!
someluckydog at gmail dot com
I make all my Xmas and Hanukkah cards. No two are the same - too boring! I think I start making them when the Holiday Cards mag comes out - I've been getting it for several years now and I love it! It denotes the start of the Xmas card-making season!
we don't celebrate christmas, and winters aren't too cold in eastern north carolina, so it is hard to get excited about winter. i really like Wishing You Peace & Joy card.
I really like the Wishing You Peace & Joy Card by Kimberly Crawford, p. 32!!! I love the pine-cone!!! I try to make my cards every year. I feel that it means more getting something made especially for you!!! Thank you for the chance!!!
debpaint16@aol.com
I've been making my own Christmas cards for the past 5 or 6 years. I like to make them so my friends will know that I appreciate them and I'm willing to spend time making something that they can enjoy. It gives me a chance to express my creative urges and I can make several designs so I can personalize them for the people I send them to.
I made my first Christmas cards last year, this year my hubs asked me to make about 30 for some of his bigger clients. Those are done..yea. I love the PC special issues, it always take about 2 weeks before I see them on any of the news stands in my area. So, I can't help but love the brady bunch like photo card, too cute. Thanks for sharing I'll be watching all week to see more inspiration.
Super cute, loving Beth Opel's Peace, Love, Christmas Card! Thanks for sharing and the chance to win!
I do make my Christmas Cards and love the process! I actually start on World Card Making Day. So I'm getting all my "Christmas Ducks" in a row!!!
I lean more towards Kimberly's card. More traditional and the nature look is beautiful! I'd sure love to have this new issue for inspiration!!
I do make Christmas cards, love the colors, the fun of the season. I've always loved getting cards so putting some extra thought and love into the ones I send just seems...right!
I make some Christmas cards every year.I usually have good intentions of making lots of cards, but stuff happens and I end up making a few!
DeniseB
I'd love make my own cards but I always run out of time and seem to have too many to make too. I love 'Peace, Love and Christmas' - it's so simple and effective.
Christmas is such a busy time that I hadn't ever been able to make handmade cards for the holidays. Since I am a scrapbooker too, I prefer photo cards. I haven't ever crafted photo cards myself though.
Thanks for the giveaway and have a great week!
Josiane
I make my cards, make cards for Operation Write home and have to have cards done by Oct. 31! Usually make all different cards, like all 3 here.
I have made 70-80 Christmas cards (plus decorations as gifts and gift tags) the last few years for family, friends and coworkers. Stressful but always a joy!
Do you make handmade cards at Christmas? Yes, we make handmade cards at the library to send to other libraries & patrons b/c we want our colleagues & patrons to know we care so much about their assistance & patronage that we'd share our creativity. Do you prefer to send photo cards? It's so hard to get everyone at their best, so no photo cards. Which of these cards inspire you the most today and why? Peace Love Christmas graphically stark card w/ elegant colors is 1 of my faves.
Love these cards, especially the Peace, Love & Happiness! Love that it's not traditional Christmas colors....it's too cute! I love making holiday cards and am truly excited for the holidays to get here!
I Love Beth's speech bubble card, super simple but totally packs a punch! I make my own cards at Xmas, but usually settle for 1 design and make them all the same. I get too stressed if I have to choose a certain card for a certain person. If they are the same, then there's no problem!
Beth's speech bubble card is so adorable - totally my style! I make a lot of Christmas cards but I confess that I don't get around to sending a lot of them out. Perhaps this is the year to change that habit...
Great cards, but I'm really drawn to Kimberly's. So pretty. I do make my Christmas cards every year. So much fun!
Great cards, but I'm really drawn to Kimberly's. So pretty. I do make my Christmas cards every year. So much fun!
I've made cards for years and am now teaching classes. I made Christmas cards all day yesterday to prepare for some anxiously awaiting students to get their Christmas cards started.
I love this Christmas photo card! Great idea! I have such a collection of letterpress cards that those are what I dip into each year for Christmas/Hanukkah. However this year for my crafting friends I am going to make holiday cards. Thank you for sharing.
Katie B.
I love the pine cone card..... it is very "Christmas". I make about 20 hand-made cards (all the same design) for those people that I know will appreciate the work that goes into them. Other people get a "store bought" card.
LOVE em....I think the second card..wishing you peace and joy inspires me the most. Great classic layout, nice colours, a bit of a vintage feel. I don't send photo cards but love making Christmas cards for close friends and family. I often run out of time.
I make handmade Christmas cards and love to send them to friends and family.
I've been making my own Christmas Cards for several years now ... they go to family, friends, and customers. Creating for my blog, means I usually have enough ready to send when the time comes. Photo cards are hot and that's a cute one, but the pine cone one is more my style - I'm working with a pine cone set right now!
I hand make all my cards! My family prefers the homemade version much better than store bought!all those cards are beautiful!
I like to make all my Christmas cards. I work at it all year round so I can get them out in Early December. It is great to get all this inspiration goodness!
I love a Traditional Christmas so my favourite would have to be Plaid & Pine Cone.
I love homemade Christmas cards, I really like the ones with family pictures.
Have been making my own Christmas cards for several years. Just enjoy doing it each year although I should definitely start earlier...like now! I love Kimberly's traditional pine cone card. The picture card sparked my interest too and am thinking about something along that line for a change. Great ideas! Merry Christmas!
Corrine Ann
yes, I made some Christmas cards. The photo card is very inspiring..going to make photo card this year for a change. The photo card is a great way to update friends that I hardly get in touch with.
I do a little of everything :) Some photo cards and the rest homemade! thanks!
I make handmade cards for friends and family because they're personal and fun. I love the Peace, Love Christmas card for it's retro simplicity and color palette.
B.S. Gallant
Yes I do make my Christmas cards, I haven't done photo cards, and now that it is just my husband and I at home I am sure I probably won't. I loved the peace and joy card, the country feel that it had really hit home with me :)
All three of these cards are fantastic! I love, love Beth's graphic card. The photo section is great--I never know how to make a card incorporating a photo, and the cards in HC&M gave me some great ideas.
LOVE the holidays issues and can't wait to own this one!!
I've been making my cards for years now and tend to do best with the more traditional or vintage looking themes. I've also done a few photo cards here and there.
I have been making holiday cards for many years now to send to family & friends. I have never done a photo card before. But maybe someday! Love the pine cone card! Very elegant! Thanks for the chance to win!
I love making handmade cards for the holidays and I also love to receive them! There's something that makes handmade cards so special - maybe its the belief that someone took the extra time and effort into creating the card or just a thoughtful saying....maybe I'm just getting more sentimental in my old age! Whatever it is I love handmade!
LOVE Kimberly her card for the colors and design..
I always make my own cards around a 90 cards ..and start al ready during Xmas for the Xmas the year coming..since I am in the spirit singing all those Xmas songs!
I don't like photo cards so never made those prefer paper crafted ones.
I lovw making Christmas cards. I usually make around 50 and since I am easily bored I only make two of the same design. It makes me happy to bring a little Christmas spirit to those I love.
I love making my Christmas cards, it makes them so unique and my family always love receiving them... with have two little kids I love the idea of photo cards, and while I have never made those myself I get the little picture and stick it in with the cards I do make. Love the photocard option you showed today! Thanks!
I've made our Christmas cards for over 20 years now - and do so appreciate your inspiration!
The Wishing You Peace & Joy Card by Kimberly Crawford is my favourite as I love the traditional aspects of it. Love the bit of snow on the pinecones too! I try to make cards when I am able as it is a little piece of myself sent out to cheer someone.
I've been making Christmas cards for about 5 years now. I usually start in April because I have so many to make! I've never done a picture card, but maybe some day I will. My favorite card is the pine cone card. Just so "holiday-ish" and warm. Thanks for a chance to win this great magazine. I keep every issue for inspiration! Ciao db:)
I do love making my Christmas cards, and try to start around July so I don't get overwhelmed.

I do make handmade cards for Christmas most years. Out of these three, I like the second card with the pine cone boughs the best. I've only done a photo card one time and it was my cat in a Santa hat looking pretty much like the Grinch since he normally doesn't do "clothes"! LOL!! I really prefer elegant Christmas cards over any other kind. There's plenty of time for silly and fun cards the rest of the year.
I normally do make cards for Christmas but this year I want to make a photo card instead.
Yes I make cards and will be attending a card crop soon to get my cards started. I love the Wishing you Peace and Joy card for its simplicity. Love the focus on the sentiment.
YES! I make my cards every year. It's a great way to show more love and share my passion. AND, I make my dad's cards that he sends out, too. :) I will sometimes send a photo in my cards, but haven't done much more than that.
My favorite card is that cute pinecone card! I love how it looks like it has texture and dimension.
I love to make my own cards! Love the examples you shared from this new idea book!
I enjoy creating my own cards at Christmas because it makes them unique and thoughtful.
I ALWAYS make my Christmas cards - even if I'm a year late! A few years ago, I sent 2 cards - one for the current year and one for the previous year... some people were confused and thought I had written the year wrong, but everyone got a laugh!
Love the cards...and I'm looking forward to picking up this issue! I make my cards every year...can't stop now or the recipients would be very upset!! Speaking of this, Christmas will be here before we know...I better get started!!
I usually make our Christmas cards, but with an infant in the house last year I ended up doing a letter - with lots of photos, of course. I'm hoping to make cards again this year. Maybe something like the Wishing You Peace & Joy Card
I make christmas cards of course, (infact i need to get started, so they can get out in time!) But i don't do photo cards, its just me and my mom, and we don;t take pics of each other.
Beautiful cards! I like to make my own Christmas cards to send, sometimes I do that in time and others no... but I never did cards with pictures, maybe because we don´t use to do that in my country (I guess).
From these three you are showing here I like Beth´s card better, just the simple design, the play of the elements, the colors she chose, I love it!
Lovely cards. I make all my cards for birthdays, anniversary, all the holidays. So much fun to figure them out and I know the receivers will love them also.

I make a dozen or so special handmade cards for Christmas, but the rest are boxed. (GASP!) It comes down to a matter of not having enough time, or recipients who do not appreciate a handmade card. :(
I always try to make my own xmas cards. I love doing craft, so why not?! I have never made a photo card, but I always include a photo of our son - in a xmas outfit preferably. I post xmas cards on Dec 1st, and like the photo taken only a few days before.
I love Beth Opel's card-very clean and cute! I make Halloween, Thanksgiving, Valentines, etc--but I do not make Christmas cards. We do the photo cards. My list is way too long to make cards. It would be very stressful for me. Just trying to get the photo cards out is a challenge most years! :)
I haven't 'bought' (bad word) Christmas cards in years! I joyfully make them. Yes for all 60 on the list! Ok, I start early and finish late, but love the appreciation that comes my way!
Yes, I make my own Christmas cards each year and I include a family photo inside. Love Beth Opel's fun card!
I always make my own Christmas Cards because it's fun and more personal. Snowmen cards are probably my favorite, but I do a different theme each year. Snowmen are usually every other year. LOL Just because I love them so much. Always loved the snow days, when my kids were out of school. Lots of bundling up and playing in the snow and hot coco after. ;) I've never done photo cards, but I do family calendars every year with photos on them. The photos are what ever the most current event was, wedding, family holidays, baby, etc. I loved Kimberly Crawfords card because of it's nature theme and traditional colors.
Wishing You Peace & Joy would be my first choice but the others are both very cute also. Don't do the photo cards of just DH & I (with children would definitely do). Have made my own Christmas cards for years so can't stop now as our friends & relatives expect them now. Thanks for the chance to win a wonderful PCC issue!
Oh, sigh. I love making Christmas cards and gifts but rarely have time to make more than a few for those appreciative recipients. I love photo cards but tend to do something crafty with them.
So looking forward to this issue!
Yes I do. Used to make 50 but now it's grown to 60. I hope to start real early this year to avoid hectic crunch time. Thanks
Holiday Cards & More is the PaperCrafts publication I can't wait to get my hands on every single year. I have every issue right from the very first thin issue. I get them out every year and re-read and get inspired. Thanks for the chance.
I don't really send Christmas cards, but do make them sometimes for publication calls, etc. Thanks for the chance to win!
I love to make homemade holiday cards, but those photo cards have possibilities!
I love that cone card cuz it reminds me of Minnesota. I make ALL my Christmas cards, and don't love photo cards so much (unless it's a year where I'm lookin' good)...LOL
Thanks for these fab-oo chances to win.
Hugs,
Karen
DO I EVER! I kick off my card making season on World Card Making Day(my birthday this year). I have a friend who's already asked me if I'm going to send her one of my cards! I love making cards that have some glitter and bling and then I make more elaborate one's for my immediate family. From my heart to theirs!
I love Kimberly Crawford's traditional card--just says Christmas to me!
My parents and my family send a joint photo card/letter. We take a photo every summer when we are together varying the location or pose. Last year we were all in or around a big tree! Mom writes her letter and I write ours and we print them on one sheet. Started this when the kids were born and it's become a tradition. Saves on paper and postage too since so many of the same people are on both our lists.
I love making handmade cards, and have never done a photo card. That reminds me...I need to get started on Christmas cards soon!
I LOVE making cards each year!! I make so many that my husband thinks I'm CRAZY!! I have heard that some people don't like getting them and will throw them away before reading them because they think I have to much time on my hands!! =) Well I just LOVE to make and send them and hope they brighten the holidays for those who get them!! THANKS for sharing and for the chance to win!! Have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)
I used to make all of our cards- sometimes as many as 80! It seems that I have less time to do that with a growing little person... Last year I ordered photo cards, but still glittered every single one of them! Lol!
Great cards!! I love the simple but awesome message on Beth Opal's card. I love to make homemade cards for all occasions.....especially Christmas because I cannot afford to buy something for everyone during that time of the year, but I can let them know I am thinking of them with a personal, handmade card that truly came from my heart. I have never done a photo card, but I am truly inspired by Shanna's card to give it a try this year.
I make my own holiday cards and do a bunch of different designs. I really love that card with the pine cones with the fab plaid- so fun!!
I do make my own Christmas card. I design them to feature the latestfamily photos.
Wow, what a great idea to make my own photo cards....I am going to do just that this year. Thanks for a great idea and I love that photo card by Shanna.
