The Cure for the Winter Blues Challenge Winners

What can I say? You've all been singing the blues so well, I was wishing I could choose enough winners to fill an entire chorus. Which is my way of telling you that it was sheer, complete, and utter agony to make my decisions. I'd narrow it down to a full dozen or so (and that was painful in and of itself), then I'd walk away for a while and look at the group again, narrow it down to seven or eight, then shift others I'd been considering, look at that group, and shift again.

I'm not complaining. Making such tough decisions is actually one of my greatest joys, because it means that all of you who participated took the inspiration I offered to such heart. And that, in my humble opinion, is what these challenges, and the Moxie Fab World, for that matter, are all about.

And so, without further ado, here are the moxie fabulous winners. May I have a drum roll please?

Blue Elegance Card by Lin

Moxie Fab Alert: This card is so deliciously rich, so exquisitely elegant, that it seems like you might feel a lush texture under your fingertips if you could reach out and touch it through the screen. And talk about a focal point! What sends this card in the stratosphere for me are those tiny green leaves, just the right complimentary shade, peeking out from beneath the luxurious blue rose.

Congratulations in Blue Card by Eli

Moxie Fab Alert: The shades of blue in this card are simply moxie fab. And how cool is it that Eli created it herself from some cardstock and two buttons? And the piece de resistance? She stitched each of the flower's petals to give them that delightful dimension. Every time I look at this card, I swoon with delight.

Shine the Light Card by Giovana

Moxie Fab Alert: My favorite thing about this card is that it plays on the lighter shades of blue, venturing even into teal and blue-green. Perfect for stars, which, when used in this manner remind me also of the ocean--and the play on words is just lovely.

Blue Moon Father's Day Card by Gayatri

Moxie Fab Alert: My favorite time of night is what I call "blue time." It's that time in the evening when the sun sinks low in the horizon, just past twilight, but not quite dark, leaving the world in an ethereal blue glow that melts into night too soon. Gayatri has done a remarkable job capturing this magical moment with this expertly executed and dreamy card for dad.

Let the Good Times Roll Card by Barbara M

Moxie Fab Alert: You know I love the play on the "blues" in this fun card by Barbara M. What a perfect stamp in a perfect color with a perfectly stylized sentiment! And the yellow notes? Perfect!

Congratumoxilations to all these winners and a heartfelt thanks to all of you who threw your hats into the ring!

Winners, please send me your address in an email to cedvalson@papercraftsmag.com and I'll set you up with your "I'm Moxie Fab" challenge winning buttons for your blogs as well as a moxie fab prize.

Bluesin' on out,

~Cath
