A most difficult time narrowing it down to just five winners--and TONS O' inspiration along the way--that's what. Check it:
My Heart Card by Cindy Holshauser
Moxie Fab Alert: The sweetness in this card is palpable. From the cheerful color scheme; to the vintage treatment of the flowers, sentiment, and framing; to the coordinating house made from a map; to the felt details that bring it all home; this card tugs at my heartstrings in a most delightful and quite unforgettable way.
Welcome to the Neighborhood Card by Karen Hamen
Moxie Fab Alert: Oh the color palette! Oh the technique (Karen stamped on two different colors of cardstock, then punched the circles out)! Oh the design (note that the lines in each of the map "spots" don't clash, but complement one another)! Oh the clever sentiment! Oh the moxie fab joy!
Ciao Bella Card by Laura Bassen
Moxie Fab Alert: I love the way Laura has paired maps with a foreign greeting. How apropos! And friends, this card looks simple, because it is simple, but simple isn't always as easy as you think. Note how the colors of the hearts intensify from left to right. Note that the sentiment lines up with the most saturated heart, creating a visual underlining, if you will. Note that Laura has expertly chosen a font treatment that captures the sentiment perfectly visually. Note how evenly spaced everything is. Clean and graphic is simple, but it isn't simple, if you know what I mean.
Via Air Mail Wall Hanging by Courtney Kelley
Moxie Fab Alert: Ohmyohmyohmyohmyohmy! I'm not sure I can contain my joy for this wall hanging. The three-dimensional globe made out of maps is sheer clever genius in and of itself, but the marked-up ledger paper in the background, the tickets to exotic destinations in the foreground, with the via air mail tape as the kicker? Now that's some serious thinking out of the box (and such an amazing departure from Courtney's already amazing usual style!)
Home is Where the Heart Is Card by Jen Rzasa
Moxie Fab Alert: Clever, clever, clever! I just love how the landscape rises from the map paper--and the little red heart on the house hits the sentiment home.
Oh my moxie to the fab! I couldn't be more excited about these winning projects, and friends, I wasn't kidding when I said there was TONS O' inspiration in this challenge. If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend that you click through the links and have a look-see for yourselves.
Winners, please send me your addresses in an email to cedvalson@papercraftsmag.com and I'll set you up with your "I'm Moxie Fab" challenge-winning buttons and a truly moxie fab prize.
These map projects have gone straight to my heart,
~Cath

PPS A special shout-out to Moxie Fabbers Virginia Lu and Lorena Canto for organizing this blog hop to cheer me up because I'm not able to attend CHA. I continue to be ever-amazed by the kindness and generosity of the people in this giving craft, and I feel so grateful to have such caring, moxie fab friends. Thanks to everyone who has linked up a card, and if I haven't stopped by your blog to offer a more personal thanks as of yet, I promise to do so as soon as my pesky and oft-angry shoulder will allow. Speaking of which, as of this writing, I'm still waiting to know when my MRI has been scheduled. I promise to keep you updated when I have more information. In the meantime, hugs and loves from me to you. :)
