Go-to Gals joined forces to scout out the newest and trendiest products in the paper crafting market to help Cath out because she wasn't able to attend. Here are a few of the things that I found that definitely deserve a "squeal":
This product is so innovative because it provides the smaller scaled images that cardmakers love, but eliminates the waste! You can create 4 standard sized cards with one sheet of paper! The designs coordinate with their larger 12x12 patterned paper but are not the exact same designs.
One of the coolest new tools at the show! These molds make it easy to create your own embellishments and come in so many fun designs! Just add a little clay to the mold, remove, and let it air dry over night. The clay is extremely light weight and comes in several different colors. You can even ink or paint your embellishments for a more custom look.
This was my most favorite collection of the show! The paper designs are super trendy and include cork, woodgrain, maps, and florals. I especially love the airmail stripe! The chipboard stickers are just amazing! Some of the designs include floral suitcases, a vintage bike, a date stamp, and (sigh) a VW Beetle.
These trims are made from Tyvek (a material also used for Priority envelopes, making them extremely durable and waterproof). You never have to worry about them tearing during application! If you heat them with an embossing gun, the ends will curl and give your projects a little added dimension.
Wooden embellishments were HOT at this show and Studio Calico debuted some of the most unique designs! I love that you can leave them in their natural state or ink/paint/mist them to add a pop of color. All 50 states are included in the set.
Here is a project I made using one of my favorite wood pieces:
I simply added a hook and chain to create a custom necklace and covered the back with a piece of felt. It’s a gift and card all in one! (The paper is from Studio Calico’s new Abroad collection.)
I was really excited to see that canning jars were a huge trend at this show! Take a peek at some of these trendy products:
I hope you’ve enjoyed a closer look at some of my favorite squeals and trends from the show! Leave me a comment by midnight EST on Sunday, February 12 and Cath will choose one lucky to win something from her famous moxie magical prize drawer. And for even more show highlights, you can visit my blog. I’ve created a bonus project for you using another brand new product that I think you’re going to love!
PS Have you had a chance to link up your approaches to the Cool Tools Week challenges? You have until next Monday at midnight to get 'er done!
