Moxie Fabber of the Week: Suzanne Czosek

I've been thinking that Monday should be renamed Inspireday here in the Moxie Fab World. For not only do I bring you the most inspiring paper collections in the industry for our weekly Moxie Monday posts, but I also have the privilege of introducing you to some of the most inspiring card makers in the industry for our weekly Moxie Fabber of the Week posts as well. I can't think of a better--or more inspiring--way to begin the week, can you?

Today I bring you Moxie Fabber Suzanne Czosek. Suzasnne has been wowing me with her approaches to our Tuesday Triggers and Moxie Fab World Challenges since their respective inceptions, and as an expert stamper, she's always bring something creative, fun, and new to the table. Let's get to know her a little better, shall we?

Take it away, Suzanne!

What is your full name? What is your screen name? Do you have a blog or an on-line gallery?

My name is Suzanne Czosek and I go by stampersuzz. My blog can be found HERE

Describe yourself in three short, fun sentences.

I am a mother of three lovely children--16, 14, and 10. I have a very supportive husband and work full time. My free time is spent inking it up whenever I can!

How long have you been paper crafting? How did you get involved in paper crafting? What is your favorite aspect of paper crafting?

A good friend of mine started me on the path of paper crafting. She helped me make my first card for my youngest sister’s wedding six years ago. I was covered in glitter in a conference room during lunch at work and was instantly hooked. My favorite thing about paper crafting is the ability to try new techniques, or ideas. I love exploring new concepts and mixing it with what I already know.

What do you like most about the Moxie Fab World? What is your favorite feature and why? Do you have a favorite all-time post?

I love the Tuesday Triggers because they always provide instant inspiration. Look at the combination of textures in this Trigger. Who wouldn’t be inspired to use the elements in the picture in a paper crafted project? In addition, Cath is always pulling nuggets of beauty from all over and sharing them with us.

My favorite post was at Christmastime when Cath used various images along with the lyrics to the song Silver and Gold. I just love it when Cath mixes words with inspirational images!

We are all moxie fab in our own way. Name one thing that makes you moxie fab.

Hmm… I always try to include a little twist or something different in what I create, which I hope provides a little moxie fab inspiration for others.

Name a paper crafter who inspires you. Why are you drawn to his or her work?

Jacqueline DeGroot inspires me with her beautiful soft and dreamy art. She is always coming up with gorgeous compositions using layers, colors and design. She also shows such grace in life as well as her art. Many of my favorite projects have been inspired by her art.  Here is an example of a project from her blog that I just love:

How would you describe your style? Provide an image of a paper crafted project that illustrates that style best.

I like to dabble in all styles and I love that trying the different styles always expands my knowledge and creativity. I tend to lean towards vintage or shabby chic cards. My favorite images are flowers and butterflies. One of my favorite projects that is good example of my style is this creation from the Moxie Fab World Get Daring with Decorative Tape challenge:

Who is your favorite manufacturer and why? What is your favorite all-time collection and why? Have you created a paper crafted project using this collection? If so, feel free to include it.

Hero Arts is one of my favorite stamp companies. I think a good portion of my stamps are from Hero Arts. One of my favorite releases they had was the Artists Proofs collection of stamps--so many beautiful floral images!

Here is a winter wonderland of flowers I created from this collection:

Do you consider yourself to be a card maker or a scrapbooker? If you are a card maker, why do you prefer it over scrapbooking? If you are a scrapbooker, why do you prefer it over card making? If you do both, what do you like about card making that is different from scrapbooking and/or vice versa?

I am a card maker at heart, although I have branched out into altering home décor. I love using a stamped image as a focal point and creating a design around the main image. I had a good friend say I was afraid of all the white space on a layout and I think she was right! :)

Attach an image of a paper crafted project of which you are the most proud or that means the most to you. Include a brief statement that explains why.

Here is a fun Father’s Day set I made for my hubby from the kids and me. He is so handy and I thought it would be fun to create a set of tools. I started with stamped images from Hero Arts that I photocopied to re-size and created a tool box and set of tools. Each of my kids picked a tool to write a special Father’s Day note to my hubby.

See what I mean? Suzanne is an expert stamper who brings something creative, fun, and new to every project she creates. In my opinion, Suzanne is the very epitome of moxie fab--inspiring in every way!

My thanks to Suzanne for taking the time to answer my questions this week, and for her kind words about the Moxie Fab World. And now it's your turn--be sure and leave Suzanne some love, Moxie Fabber style!

Moxie Fabbers rock!
