Vintage Halloween Card by Julia Stainton
Moxie Fab Alert: To me, there's something magical about vintage Halloween. In this inspiring card, many vintage forces have come together to create a classic masterpiece. Whether it's the old-time silhouette image, the faded wallpaper look of the background papers, the black rhinestones, the twine attaching the star stick-pin that reminds me of a magic wand, or the nostalgic orange icons, together they capture an historic Halloween that haunts and delights all at once!
Cutie Halloween Card by Heather Campbell
Moxie Fab Alert: This card is so cute I can hardly stand it. What I love most about it, though, is that amazing web at the top from which the spidey is dangling. Supah fun!
Happy Haunting Banner & Frame by Danielle Flanders
Moxie Fab Alert: I moxie LOVE the idea of adding a banner to a home decor item such as this frame to give it added dimension, don't you?
Creepy Crawly Wishes Card by Anya Schrier
Moxie Fab Alert: To me, this card is all about the fun of Halloween. From the color scheme to the spiders that pop off the card to the fantastic design, I am all about the creepy crawly after seeing this!
Happy Haunting Card by Lea Lawson
Moxie Fab Alert: This card is a great example of how to layer embellishments without them becoming to bulky, floaty, or overwhelming. Let's break it down by some good rules to follow when creating a card of this nature. First rule: Stick to a simple color scheme. (In this card it's white, orange, and black.) Second rule: Keep the background paper simple. (The black and white spider webs are involved, but because there are only two colors, it works.) Third rule: Delegate one element to be the main focal point, keeping all others as secondaries or tertiaries. (The main element is the ghost. Secondaries are the orange medallion, the bow, and the sentiment. Tertiaries are the medallion behind the ghost, the ribbons behind the ghost that divide the card horizontally, and the rose.) Fourth rule: Give the eye a place to land. (Because Lea has divided the card with the horizontal ribbon and grouped most of the elements on the right-hand side, it feels balanced and grounded in spite of the many elements Lea has incorporated into the design.) And voila! A recipe for success!
Pick of the Patch Card by Sarah Jay
Moxie Fab Alert: White pumpkins have become a trendy option in pumpkin patches as of late, and I love the way Sarah plays up the white pumpkin in this card. The brown gingham and the white twine are perfect accompaniments, and the swirly fun font in the sentiment is icing on the proverbial cake!
Happy Hoo-laween Card by Heidi Van Laar
Moxie Fab Alert: With a colorful owl perched on a wicked tree in front of a big full moon, together with a punny sentiment and a stylized background, this card has me hoo-hoo-hoo-ing to the top of my lungs!
Happy Haunting Card by Iwona Palamountain
Moxie Fab Alert: Simple and to the point, this card is all about the white space. The genius comes in the white-on-white layering of the spider web at the top and the direct treatment of the cemetery icons. It's bare bones and I moxie love it!
Pocket Full of Autumn Paper Bag Pocket by Melissa Phillips
...which also includes these:
Moxie Fab Alert: Again, I just love the charm of vintage Halloween and this bag o' inspiration is chock full of vintage imagery, sweet surprises, and old-time allure.
Boo Card by Savannah O'Gwynn
Moxie Fab Alert: My oh my how I love this card! I love the way the space in the design is divided into threes. I love that there is a different pattern treatment (including plain) in each space, and that they vary greatly but coordinate as well. I love that funny little upside-down bat and that he contrasts so well to the orange-and-white polka dot patterned paper. And I also love that there are three things for me to look at: First the bat, second the "boo," and third the "trick or treat." The "rule of threes" is alive and well in this fun card, and it is simply moxie fab!
Creepy-Cute Halloween Card by Alicia Thelin
Moxie Fab Alert: From the unexpected color scheme to the cute banner to that wicked spider, this card says to me, "Halloween is FUN!"
Do these projects have you a-howlin'? Which of these has you shrieking the loudest? Leave me a comment by midnight EDT on Sunday, October 30, and I'll draw one lucky to win something from my moxie magical prize drawer!
All bopped out,

What a great bunch of projects! I love Melissa Phillips Paper Bag Pocket with the sweet vintage pieces added but it runs a close tie with the Vintage Halloween card by Julia. Each card is so very different ~ some my style and some not so much but still adorable. The 3-different section Boo card with the bat is very striking. Melissa's Pocket Full of Autumn bag with cards is clever and cute. Let's just say I can't pick just one!
Fabulous cards! I can't just pick one! There's a couple of my friends up there! I pick them all. :D
The last one has me shrieking the loudest because that spider is way to real looking. I just had to call my son (he is grown) to kill a big one on the wall before I would go by it. It was flexing in an attempt to intimidate me and it worked.
My favorite one is of the cute spiders where one has jumped off the note.
The paper bag pocket is beautiful! That is my fave :)
The cutie Halloween card. Love the spider web!
I like them all, but Julia Stainton's vintage card is my favorite. As a former teacher, I can relate to some of the images on hers. They remind me of the old time Halloween decorations that we used to use in our classrooms!
My favorite is the the card w/the plastic spider!!! AWESOME!
My favorite is the first card because of the cute kitty on it.
