Only 5 winners.
And here they are, in all their creative glory, the winners of the Beautiful Borders challenge!
May I have a drum roll, please?
Hoot of an Owl by Wendy F.
Moxie Fab Alert: I'm sure you're not surprised that I went absolutely ga-ga when I clicked on this cutie owl. And I've got a sneaking suspicion that you are, too. Not only is it an adorable project, but the innovative use of a digital border as the owl's underbelly is pure moxie fab! Way to rock the challenge, Wendy!
Gradient Thank You by Cindy ScrappyV
Moxie Fab Alert: Not only do I moxie love the way Cindy has created so much texture and dimension to her card by layering these border strips, but I also moxie love the gradient color treatment. This is so hip and so stylin' I can hardly stand it!
Hooray for You Card by Katie Gehring
Moxie Fab Alert: Since the challenge was to use borders in innovative ways, I just loved Katie's very creative way to incorporate a border in her design. The beauty of this lies in its simplicity. By mirroring two border strips and leaving a space in between, Katie has added both a stripe and an interesting negative scallop in the white space. The fact that she's chosen such boldly contrasting colors helps to call attention to the design...by design, if you get my drift.
Old World Together Forever Card by Alicia Thelin
Moxie Fab Alert: I love the way Alicia has used the negative space of a border strip to add depth and dimension to her design. The brown behind the border is on the inside of the card, giving it contrast when closed, airiness when open. And note the great design: Your eye first goes to the most lovely flowers with their glittery centers which then draw you along the beautiful border strip which pulls your eye to the sentiment. And the color combination? Divinely old world, indeed.
Sunny Thank You Card by Robin Funge
Moxie Fab Alert: How fun is THIS? Using whimsical border strips to function as the sun's rays? Moxie freakin' fab! :)
