The Next Moxie Fab World Challenge: Tissue Paper Magic

One of the trendiest papaer crafting products "out there" these days is tissue paper. Crepe paper is supah fun to use as well. One reason why it is so fun is because there are so many different things to do with it, as Go-to Gal Maren Benedict shows us in the March/April PC101 column. Here are nine fresh and funky ideas to whet your whistle. Check it:

Rosettes: Wrap tissue paper in a circular motion to create a funky flower.

Faux Twine: Twist tissue paper into thin strands and adhere for a custom sentiment.

Fringe: Trim strips of tissue and layer to make a fun fringed border.

Fold & Glue: Fold small tissue paper squares and adhere centers for instant texture.

Die-cut: Die-cut and layer stamped tissue paper for a unique focal point.

Pleat: Pleat and ruffle tissue paper strips for quick and easy feminine frills.

Paint: Adhere thin tissue paper to your projects with paint for a one-of-a-kind look.

Layer: Layer circles and strips of tissue paper to create a scene.

Pouf: Adhere small strips of tissue paper to make a perfect pouf.

Aren't those moxie fab ideas, friends? Here are a couple of projects that Maren whipped up using these fun techniques as well:

Best Friends Card, p. 31
Showers of Love Card, p. 31

Whaddayatink? Are you inspired to create a projects that uses tissue paper (or crepe paper) in an innovative way? You can use these techniques or come up with your own. Either way, here are the details you'll need to play:
  • Create a paper crafted project (card, gift bag, tag, layout, home decor item, mini-book cover, etc.) that incorporates tissue paper or crepe paper in an innovative way.
  • Upload it to your blog, click on the title of that post, copy the URL, and add it to Mr. Linky below.
  • Tell your readers that you've created your project for the Tissue Paper Magic Challenge in the Moxie Fab World and link it back to this post to encourage your readers to play along as well.
  • If you don't have a blog, upload your project to this flickr gallery, copy the URL to your project, and add it to Mr. Linky below.
  • Upload your projects by midnight EDT on Monday, May 9.

Really enjoyed the challenge... seemed to be so excited that when I linked the first time it was to my last Moxie Fab post(sorry Cath). If you could remove entry 42 and keep 43 for me that would be brilliant! Cheers,
Robin
