Moxie Monday: Fun House from GCD Studios
One of the most prevalent--and FUN--trends from the CHA Winter show was the circus theme. Elephants, tents, trains, targets, clowns, spinners, award ribbons, and mustaches called out to grab my attention as though I were really at the circus as I walked down the aisles and aisles of booths. My absolute favie of them all is this one. Step right up, friends--Fun House from GCD Studios is taking the center ring! Check it:
Can you hear the calliope? Smell the popcorn? See the dazzling costumes, the trapeze overhead, and the Ring Master with his handle-bar mustache himself? I'm right there with you, friends and it is quite a show.

Yep I can hear the calliope and smell yummy popcorn! I love the fun chipboard, mustaches, and ribbon spool of this set. Softer muted colors make it shabby chic with the vintage elegance. Gotta have it! :-). Amy
I love the colours of this collection, they're fun but not overly bright. My favourite piece is the mini flag kit, it's a great idea for titles on a page.
This collection makes me want to run as fast as I can to the nearest circus just to get photos to go with the papers! I can't tell you enough how much I heart this collection! My fave is the flags! Looks like something I could get addicted to using on everything (like banners!).
I love the more subdued colors and the patterns are just so vintagy! These would be fun to play with !

This is VERY cool! I love the great colors (non-circusy, in my opinion) and all of those fun elephants. My daughter went to see our high school's Masquers production of Barnum this weekend, so this is SO timely!
This is one of the more versaitle circus themed collections that I have seen. The B sides of these papers are fabulous and can be used for a variety of pages. I LOVE the moustaches! Super fun collection!
I love the design on the Shooting Gallery sheet of paper and the mustache on a stick is hilarious! Think I'll go rustle up a candy apple and some popcorn and get crafting...
Those mustaches are SO fun! What a great idea for scrapbook pages or a dad's card. Really great!
Hey Cath, would you believe I've never been to a circus?! Regardless, this line is fantastic. I have to say that the colors are my favorite, because they are a bit more subtle for what I would expect from something circusy, haha.

I love the little stickers and flags best, they are so cute. I can think of lots of ways to use them with my two little " Monkeys " !!
I love the colors--not too bright. I just did a circus card with another company's paper, and I had to tone down the colors by lightly sponging on some ink. This collection has just the right balance. I love incorporating tickets into my designs,so I really like the Come One Come All paper.

It brings out "the kid" in me! The memories of cotton candy, the thrilling rides, the ponies, the elephants.....it just makes me smile!

The motifs are vintage circus makes me feel like in a tent under the big top complete with rubber nose. Memories of childhood in England. Endless creations abound with this line.

Okay, I am actually terrified of the circus. I don't know why, but it's been that way since childhood. Maybe it's the clowns? BUT, after seeing this collection, I may be cured! How absolute darling and I LOVE the colors! Thanks for curing me, Cath!

Love this line! For me, the softer colors are unexpected and absolutely fabulous! I have a few photos of my son, Matthew, with half a plastic Easter egg on his face where it looks like he has a clown nose. I've been waiting for just the right papers to scrap those with...I think I just found them! :-D
I like that the colors are muted. They still have all the joy and exuberance of a carnival without being so loud. This would be really fun to work with!

It is a beautifully done collection. I love that they have muted the colours from the brightness that a circus actually is. They will make the line much easier to use.
I love this line! The mustaches are to die for! Love the funness (not sure that is a word), LOL! But We just went to a birthday party and it was help at a kiddie park that makes you feel like you go back in time to a more simple time when the rides were fun and not soo scarry! I would love to own this line to scraapbook those pics. Maybe make a mini album with it. Thanks.

What's neat about this line is that it's not just circus, but VINTAGE circus! My favorites are the papers that have the pictures of the animals, circus tents, clowns, etc. You almost feel like you could walk right into the old fashioned circus tent and see the circus as it was! And the ribbon spool is fun, too.

I love the embellies! This so reminds me of Dad, as he tells about the circus when he was a child growing up in Wisconsin...still a location of the circus.

I usually gravitate towards bright colors, but I love the softness of the colors in this line--they work better with the fun designs than bright colors would.

I really like the rubons and chipboard wheels, but I also really like that if you don't like one side of the page, you will very likely like the 2nd side - sometimes you can pick and choose which sheets you like, but there's something to like about all of them.

I love the Assorted Garland and the 8" collection pad. I can see some amazing masculine cards using this collection. Especially for the elderly home bound or in nursing homes from our church. I think it would bring back great memories for them. I send out cards once a month to them and want to use this collectionfor them.

This line reminds me of my son's kindergarten circus last spring. It's an annual tradition at the school and will probably always be at the top of our nostalgic events list. I have't finished scrapping it yet, so this set would come in very handy!

What's NOT to love about this line?! It's SO fun and whimsical! The spools stick is adorable, and I love the mini flags. All of the papers are gorgeous as well. And how can you not smile about the mustache on a stick?! LOL!!
I LOVED this whole line but particularly the FUNHOUSE when I saw them at the AMAZING CHA booth! Funhouse is phenominal! The images on the papers are amazing and all of the embellishments are to die for! Even the packaging of all of the embellishments are fun! I would LOVE to win this!!!
