Moxie Fabber of the Week: Regan D'Agostino

A big fat moxie welcome to Regan d'Agostino, our Moxie Fabber of the Week! Let's get to know her better, shall we?

What is your full name? What is your screen name? Do you have a blog or an on-line gallery?

Regan D’Agostino aka Stampy McStamperson

Describe yourself in three short, fun sentences.

Wow…totally random, a whole lot crazy, totally obsessed with all things crafty.

I love patterns and colour.

I love pretty ribbons and buttons--I tend to hoard way too much. LOL!

How long have you been paper crafting?

Since my wedding 7 years ago. I made some table menus with some embossing. It's been an obsession since then.

How did you get involved in paper crafting?

I saw some samples in Martha Stewart Living and thought I’d give it a whirl!

What is your favorite aspect of paper crafting?

I love playing with textures, patterns and ribbons. It's all about the touch and feel.

What do you like most about the Moxie Fab World?

TONS of inspiration and it introduces me to lines I may not have seen before.

What is your favorite feature and why?

Trigger Tuesday is the best. I love looking at a photo then transforming it into paper!

Do you have a favorite all-time post? Why do you like it so much?

I can’t really pick a favorite but this one had me at HELLO!

We are all moxie fab in our own way. Name one thing that makes you moxie fab.

I think that I have my hands in a little bit of everything: scrapbooking, altered art, cards, and sewing.

Name a paper crafter who inspires you. Why are you drawn to his or her work?

Savitri Wilder, I love her style, humor, and her photos are fantastic

How would you describe your style? Provide an image of a paper crafted project that illustrates that style best.

That’s a hard one. I’m so random. I love pretty and girly, ribbons, buttons, and stamps! This is a pretty typical Regan card:

Name three non-paper crafting blogs/websites that you find to be inspiring.

Tatertots and Jello--a wee bit of everything but really awesome, great tutorial sand TONS of inspiration

How About Orange--great pops of colour, great tutorial, and free downloads.

Pinterest--Random amazing photos, some great crafting and fashion pics.

Paper Crafts magazine has produced a great number of special issues over the years. Which has been the most inspiring to you and why?

I love the Go-to Sketches issue. When I’m stuck it’s a great jumping off point to get my mojo going again!

Do you consider yourself to be a card maker or a scrapbooker? If you are a card maker, why do you prefer it over scrapbooking? If you are a scrapbooker, why do you prefer it over card making? If you do both, what do you like about card making that is different from scrapbooking and/or vice versa?

I guess I would consider myself to be a card maker, I find them easier and the best part is that you can give them away (LOL, like I ever do that!) I love scrapbooking but I make a lot more cards than layouts.

Attach an image of a paper crafted project (that you have created) of which you are the most proud or that means the most to you.

This is my most recent layout. I used to try and hide my quirks but I now wear them like a badge of honor

Do you consider yourself to be a trend-watcher? Why or why not? Do you feel that trend-watching is important to your creativity? Why or why not?

I would say yes, but trends don’t define my style. If I like the trend I’ll use it, but if I don’t, I won’t.
