The All Zipped Up! Challenge Winners

The All Zipped Up! challenge is now all zipped up! I think we'd all agree that, though trendy, this challenge certainly was a challenge! That is why I was so impressed with the way Clare Dempsey used zipper pulls to create a snowflake, the way Dana W fashioned a wreath from a zipper, the way SmilynStef used a zipper to make a garland on a Christmas tree, and the clever way that Helen F used a zipper to form train tracks! Thanks for sharing your innovation with us, ladies!

And now, without further ado, let's give it up for these challenge-winning approaches to this totally toothy challenge!

Joy to the World Card by Janine R.

Moxie Fab Alert: I just love the inventive way that Janine has "swooped" the zippers to make them not only look like a garland on the Christmas tree, but also to give the tree its shape and dimension. She's incorporated a fun and unusual color scheme, and the card does, indeed, feel joyful.

Joyful Ornaments Card by Rachel

Moxie Fab Alert: I  moxie love the idea of swirling zippers to create ornaments! Rachel has kept the design clean and simple which emphasizes the bright, playful nature of the card, and the addition of the wire and rhinestones is the perfect glitzy touch!

Dressy Thanks Card by Sandy Ang

Moxie Fab Alert: This is actually the back of Sandy's card, but I just love that she's taken a literal interpretation of a zipper, put it on a moxie retro dress on top of a vintage pattern. The piece de resistance? You zip down the zipper to reveal a message inside!

Blah Blah Blah Card by Karolyn at Paper Therapy

Moxie Fab Alert: How creative is this? Kudos to Karolyn for imagining zippers as lambs' wool. I love the texture and dimension they create while still staying true to the graphic, cartooney style of the card. And a sheep that says "Blah, blah, blah" instead of "Bah, bah, bah"? Punny, punny, punny!

Thanks to everyone who stepped out of their comfort zones and applied their special moxie fabulousness to give this zippy challenge a try! There were a few of you who linked your blogs to the challenge, but I couldn't find the specific post, so I didn't comment. Just a friendly reminder to link the URL of the specific post to Mr. Linky so I can see your project quickly and easily.

Winners, please send me your addresses in an email to cedvalson@papercraftsmag.com with "All Zipped Up! Challenge Winner" in the subject line and I'll send you your "I'm Moxie Fab" badges as well as a moxie fab prize.

I'll have a brand new challenge for you tomorrow, friends. In the meantime, don't forget about our Card Creations: Favorite Occasions Week challenges! Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holidays and create a card in each of five favorite categories. And why not give them away when you're finished? I don't know about you, but I think that'd make an awfully nice gift! See the links on the right-hand side bar of this blog and treat yourself to some fun!

That's a zip,

~Cath

wow, those are some creative ladies! I have to admit this challenge stymied me - I bought a zipper and never got around to trying to apply it to a card. GREAT entries to look through for inspiration, though :)

Hi Cath, I don't know if your Facebook acct is having trouble...I LIKED your MFW facebook, but never get any postings. Thought you'd want to know. I'd also like to get postings so I can participate in your contests (the ones where I DON'T have to submit photos--I don't know how...sad, huh?).
