Five for Friday: Card Creations: Favorite Occasions Week Starts Monday!

Our latest and greatest special issue, Card Creations: Favorite Occasions, Volume 2 is on the shelves of your favorite Paper Crafts magazine shop spot, friends, and we couldn't be more excited!

I don't know if you've had a chance to flip through this bad boy, but it is chock full--and I mean CHOCK full--of moxie fab cards for YOUR favorite occasions. In fact, in our recent post mortem of this issue (a meeting in which we evaluate each magazine we produce), we all agreed that this particular special issue is as gorgeous, slick, and inspiring as it ever gets!

I've chosen five of the trendies to share with you today to whet your whistle for Card Creations: Favorite Occasions Week which starts next Monday here in the Moxie Fab World as well as on Paper Crafts Connection! Check it:

Vintage Thank You Card by Dawn McVey, p. 78

Moxie Fab Alert: Hello moxie fab color scheme! Oh my superb use of vintage products! Oh heavenly retro vibe! Nice to meet you excellent design (look where the design directs your eyes--focal point retro girls, ribbon to diagonal pattern paper, sentiment back to focal point retro girls)!

Zippy Hello Card by Kim Kesti, p. 15

Moxie Fab Alert: Remember our challenge from the November/December Moxie Fabs column on zippers (entries are due on December 6!)? Supah trendy, supah fun, supah easy--supah dupah!

Cool Promotion Card by Tiffany Johnson, p. 57

Moxie Fab Alert: When I first saw this card, I gasped with delight. Not only is this an amazingly fun stamp, but I moxie love the way Tiffany colored in just one window at the top and then echoed that same color in the sentiment. Oh my moxie fab!

Dad Birthday by Betsy Veldman, p. 42

Moxie Fab Alert: Shab for dad? Here's a great example of how to incorporate the shabby chic style for a man. It's not too frilly, not too feminine, but it definitely has that aged, sophisticated, and rustic look that any man would appreciate.

For the Bride & Groom by Kim Hughes, p. 67

Moxie Fab Alert: Hands down, this is my favorite card in the issue. Kim has chosen uber trendy icons with which to compose her design, and she has achieved an almost zen balance with them that is incredibly hard to do. Bravo, Miss Kim! Bravo!

You likey? Leave me a comment that says which card resonates with you the most and why by midnight MST on Sunday, November 28 and I'll draw one random winner to receive something yummy from my moxie magical prize drawer!

So excited for CCFO Week!

~Cath

I like the Dad card, male cards are so difficult and this one is lovely - not too prissy but still artistic and clever!

Oh...Betsy's dad card...she has so many layers...yet they all go together so well...love the very subtle layering and keeping it masculine at the same time.

The vintage 'Thank You' card reminds me of my Nana and all the sewing she did over the years, not just for herself and her family but for fetes and stalls. Those dresses like some she made for my mum!

The Vintage Thank You card by Dawn McVey is not only retro, it is a resourceful way to be 'green'. For me it is the best one you selected for the blog for 2 reasons: I'm a certified home economics/FACS teacher (love to sew, craft, do interior decorating)and in the 60s my mother wore day dresses very similar to those styles shown in Dawn's card!!!
