Five (x2) for Friday: Bopping for Fright-spiration!

Happy Friday, Moxie Fabbers! It's a spooktacular Blog Bop! I've been a-boppin' from blog to blog looking for some paper crafted fright-spiration! Check it:

By the Light of the Moon Card by Heidi Van Laar

Moxie Fab Alert: I'm the moon's number one fan, so I'm naturally drawn to this gorgeously elegant and spectacularly festive card. It's most moxie fab element of all its moxie fab elements? The design. Your eye starts at the moon, it's grabbed by the flourish that sweeps down to to the bow which swoops your eye back up to the sentiment, whose swirls bring you back to the moon. I'm dancing by its light right about now, aren't you?

Trick or Treat Card by Sarah Martina Parker

Moxie Fab Alert: I'm not sure I'd have the courage to knock on this particular door shaped like a tombstone, but the magical flurry of bats and stars on a pink background make me think that it might just be safe after all...

Candy Corn Card by Ashley Cannon Newell

Moxie Fab World: Call me crazy, but one of my favorite things in the whole wide world is to be absolutely blown away by simplicity. It's candy corn, friends. But I've never seen one quite so moxie fab as this one!

Beware Banner by Laurel Seabrook

Moxie Fab Alert: Beware the banner that inspires! I love that the letters are done up in a big, bold, old-timey font that can be seen easily from a distance. I love the basic, yet festive patterns in the backgrounds of the pennants, allowing the letters to shine. And I love, love, love that it is minimally embellished with familiar Halloween icons with that spooky tree as the focal point in the center. Bravo, Laurel! Bravo!

Halloween Memory Book by Melissa Phillips

Moxie Fab Alert: Here I go again with the moon, and perhaps my current obsession with all things New England. But I'm telling you, friends, these vintage, old-time images touch me deeply. It's about childhood, it's about respect for the past, and it's about the idea that we can have animals, birds, and spiders for friends. But perhaps ultimately, it's about the sweetness--in capturing a treasured holiday in a little nest of pom-poms with a moon smiling brightly to guide us on our way.

Jack O'Lantern Card by Kelley Eubanks

Moxie Fab Alert: Trendy, trendy, trendy! This card uses text as a background, misting sprays, a mask, and a touch o' twine at the top. And the simple font treatment with its little touch of a rhinestone? Da bomb diggity!

Spooky Card by Kristen Swain

Moxie Fab Alert: Oh my goodness! Here I go with the moon again. I seriously didn't realize it until I put these all together. But how moxie fab is this? Simple patterns, simple colors, cool letters, and a seriously moxie fab moon. Wow-ZA!

Too Cute to Spook Card by Carolyn King

Moxie Fab Alert: Yep. Too stinkin' cute to spook. Love. It.

Silhou-witch Card by Courtney Kelley

Moxie Fab Alert: As a fan of silhouettes at Halloween, I can seriously get behind this clever approach to yet another moon card. That witch is divine and I love that Courtney has put a typographic treatment in the glow of her moon. No need for a sentiment with all that goin' on.

Hanuted Landscape Card by Julie Ebersole

Moxie Fab Alert: Oh my moxie fab! I gasped when I first saw this a-m-a-z-i-n-g card on Julie's blog. Oh the depth! Oh the perspective! Oh the creep-factor! Oh the moxie joy!

You likey? Leave me a comment that says which card speaks to your ghoulish self the most and why by midnight MDT on Sunday, October 24 and I'll draw one random winner to receive something delightful from my moxie magical prize drawer!

Boil and bubble, dragon's lair
Do you have scaries for to share?
Link your treasures, one by one
So we can join in all your fun!
But do it by the 31st,
It's fright-spiration for which we thirst!

Looking forward to seeing your creepy creations,

~Cath

PS This is your last weekend to load up your entries to our moxie fab Perfectly Placed Pleats challenge. Winners will be announced next Wednesday, so pick your pleat and press it to the petal! :)
