Five for Friday: World Card Making Day Week Starts Monday!

With September well on its way and October just around the corner, paper crafters all over the world know that World Card Making Day is nigh. A holiday dedicated to celebrating the connectivity that comes through creating the gift of a handmade card, the fifth annual World Card Making Day will take place on Saturday, October 2.

Last year in the Moxie Fab World we celebrated World Card Making Day Week with a World Tour of Card Making. I invited 44 designers from all over the world to join in our celebration by designing original cards to share with Moxie Fabbers just like you. We started our tour in Europe with card makers from Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Croatia, and Germany:

Sweet Birthday Card by Vanessa Menhorn from Germany

On Day Two we ventured to the UK and Australia:

Autumnal Card by Kim Dellow from the UK

Day Three took us to Morocco, Japan, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, the Phillipines, and Singapore:

So Chic Card by Emeline Seet from Singapore

On Day Four we traveled all over Canada:

XO Card by Julia Stainton

And on our last day, Day Five, we ended up in the good ol' US of A:

Winter Wishes Card by Heather Nichols

It was a week full of worldwide inspiration, and the beauty of the Internet is that you can hop on the Moxie Fab World train and revisit your favorite destinations or go on the tour for the first time by clicking here.

And just like last year, I've got a week of inspiration planned for you starting on Monday. In addition, our moxie fab Go-to Gals are hosting a week's worth of festivities on Paper Crafts Connection, so you'll want to be sure and tune in there as well!

In the meantime, leave me a comment that says what you love most about World Card Making Day and/or how you plan to celebrate by midnight MDT on Sunday, September 26 and I'll draw one random winner to receive something moxie fab from my moxie magical prize drawer!

I just can't WAIT for World Card Making Day Week,

~Cath

PS Hungry for some challenges? We've got a bunch currently going on including our weekly Tuesday Trigger, the four Holiday Cards & More Week challenges, and the Offset Scallop Gallop. It's all about paper crafting fun in the Moxie Fab World--hope you make some time to have some soon!
