We've been keeping this secret for months now. And I mean literal months. Oh holy Hannah does it feel good to let the proverbial cat out of its dark, lonely bag.
Holy Hannah!
That's right, my moxie fab friends. Our latest special issue, Card Style, is about to hit the newsstands with, well, style.
'Cause that's what this issue is all about--style. As in, what's yours and how can you develop it to its fullest potential? As in, what elements define a particular style? As in, show me a bunch of inspiring cards in a certain style and I'll have some fun challenging myself trying styles outside of my comfort zone. As in, wow that's a ton of inspiration and thank you very much for organizing them according to the styles that appeal to me most. As in, all occasions and holidays organized by style, let's see what's speaking to me the loudest today.
As in, this magazine is chock full of inspiration including these moxie trendies to kick off our week-long celebration of Card Style which begins on Monday of next week. Check it:
Your Day to Shine Card by Kim Kesti, p. 9Moxie Fab Alert: Due to its whimsical nature, those trendy Japanese lanterns, festive stripes, and a punny birthday sentiment, this card screams "fun and cute" and "says" moxie fab any way you look at it!
King of the Remote Card by Teri Anderson, p. 46Moxie Fab Alert: The use of white space, simple shapes, a graphic icon, and a simple font all work together to make one moxie fab clean and graphic wow!
Peacock Feather Card by Windy Robinson, p. 77Moxie Fab Alert: A rich color scheme, a lush background, polished textures, and a luxurious focal point all work together to create one classy and elegant masterpiece!
Birthday Girl Card by Melissa Phillips, p. 109Moxie Fab Alert: Put together soft layers upon even softer layers, sand the edges, ink to create an aged look, and add a subtle color palette and what do you get? Shabby chic at its finest!
Vintage Wishes Card by Sherry Wright, p. 111Moxie Fab Alert: The vintage image, the inked flower, the ornate frame, and the extra blingy zip combine to create a vintage card that will only get better with time.
You likey? Let me know which of these cards or which of these styles strikes your fancy the most and why by midnight MDT on Sunday, July 18 and I'll draw 3 random winners to receive a copy of this to-die-for special issue hitting newsstands on Tuesday of next week!
Speaking of next week you won't moxie BELIEVE what I've got in store for you,

ohhhh.... I **love love love** Melissas 'shabby chic' card!
I totally adore the soft and subtle colors and patterns and the lace. The soft distressed/inked edges adds so much depth and interest.
I totally adore the shabby chic style and I think Melissa is a ROCK STAR in creating this kind of cards!
Sylvia
I love the look of shabby chic it's just gorgeous!!!!
Shabby Chic does it for me, but I do all kinds of styles depending who the card is for. All the samples are great. Look forward to seeing the new mag!
I love the "king of the remote" card. Hard to find and make great card for men.
Shabby Chic and vintage appeal the most to me; I love the soft colors and all the layers. I look forward to tips on creating these styles of cards.
Love the fresh and bright colours of the lanterns card by Kim but my style is the clean and simple so I have to say I LOVE the TV card by Teri....
The magazine looks wonderful. I really wish it was easier to buy in my local stores here in Canada.
It's hard to pick just one but I think the peacock feather card is my favorite of the bunch. I can't wait to see more of this special issue!
I love shabby chic, and Melissa always manages to make great creations. I have been practicing the technique and love to experiment and learn new techniques. But when I'm not in the mood for Shabby, I love Fun & Cute. OK, I know they are completely opposite styles, but that's just me!! always at the edges, never in the happy middle ;)
They are all great, love melissa's!
WOW- LOVE IT ALL BUT MY FAVORITE IS SHABBY AND VINTAGE- AS THIS IS ME
Without a doubt the card that I absolutely adore is Melissas. Her skill at shabby chic is beyond comparison and her work is always totally inspiring. She rocks!
I just love the clean graphic approach on the Kim's lantern card. Can't wait to get that special issue - I'm going to run out on Tuesday to pick one up :)
I just love the shabby chicness to both Melissa Phillips and Sherry Wrights cards! Gorgeous! I can't wait to see all the yumminess in this new issue!!
Shabby Chic and Vintage for sure! As much as I like these styles, I just can't seem to achieve them. Maybe this collection would help? :))
These are all so inspiring and fabulous, but if you're going to make me pick one, my favorite is Melissa Phillips' shabby cupcake card. I don't usually do this style myself, but I really admire those that pull it off so beautifully!
Melissa Phillips shabby chic card just speaks to me the most-love the colors and mix of patterns, so soft and sweet! I also love the classy and elegant card and the vintage card-they're all beautiful!
ARE U Kidding me choose oh all these cards are fabo!!! But my eye usually flows with classy and elegant that does it for me. Happy Friday I can not wait till Monday to start the Fun!
I love the bright, cheerful lanterns on Kin Kesti' adorable card! This is a card I would love to case.
I love the Chinese Lantern card! Very different and creative:)
Clean and simple is how I usually make my cards to Teri's "King of the Remote" card has my vote! The other cards are great as well and inspire me to stray from my norm!
I like the Kinf of the Remote one!
It is difficult to pick a favorite, but I guess the first card by Kim Kesti speaks to me. I love the stripes and bright, crisp colors. Especially paired with the shaded background. Such a pretty card!
The Vintage card just jumped right out at me! It's not a style/theme that I create very much around, but it is one that I would like to TRY more often!!
I love the vintage look. I love old things and have fun rummaging for old sheet music, text paper and old patterns to utilize.
I am a clean and graphic girl all the way. I guess it makes sense that I'm most inspired by Teri's work. I think it all stems back to my professional days of working in web design...everything had to be clean and simple. I CAN'T WAIT to get my hands on that issue!
Economic times being what they are, I've now added a magazines heading to my wish list and this is the first entry on it. Love these PaperCrafts special editions. I gravitate towards fun and cute and clean and graphic, but long to do shabby chic and vintage well. So looking forward to getting my hands on this issue.
Loving the peacock feather. Where on earth can I find one of those?
I love Kim Kesti's Card "Your Day to Shine"! So bright and colorful. =)
LOVE all these cards! My favorite is the birthday girl card with that super pretty cupcake and feminie feel!
I am most inspired by the Vintage Wishes card. I love vintage and is a "style" that I feel I struggle in. I am also a sucker for ANY flourish. I love the pearl flourishes and will use them on ANYTHING!!! Thanks for a fun opportunity!!!!
I love the tv/remote card because it is funny and it is for a guy!!! Fab.
lisa a.
I'm definitely a shabby chic/vintage gal, but I'm trying to develop my elegant and clean and modern skills. They just come so hard to me! Can't wait to see this issue...and I never say this, but I hope i win this time! Good luck to everyone!
Shabby Chic fan, love Melissa's works of art!
The King of the Remote card is wonderful! What a cool masculine card! I love it! Celebrate next week? I'm there!!
Love the card with the Japanese lanterns on it. Love the bright colors.
love that clean simple style shown in the king of the remote card!
I am simply floored by the peacock feather card.... Very Indian in look & peacock is our national bird.... The look of the card has an Indian touch, be it the designs or the layout..... I loved it... :)

Love the "king of the remote", so clean and simple and POW! Attention grabbing. Great work, ladies.

I like the graphic and clean style, but from the cards you showed I like Melissa Phelps cupcake card. I just love cupcakes.
Wow, hard question. :) I think I'm going to choose the classy and elegant peacock card. :) Very unique focal image and that is what draws my eye and smile! :)
I think the Shabby Chic and Vintage appeal to me the most and I would love to learn how to achieve this look. Right now I am a clean and simple girl.
I love them all but the only one i could pull off is Windy's. I love how elegant and clean it is!
While I think they are all wonderful cards, there are 3 that call to me. Your day to Shine, Birthday Girl(Shabby chic) and Vintage are cards I am drawn to most.
The card with the banner on the magazine is just the Bomb!!!! Would love to own this issue. Hugs Alesia

I love the beautiful card by Melissa - I envy her fantastic shabby style! I should give it a try...
I like the cupcake girl cupcake card. Love the colors and fun of it. Thanks for a chance to win this super cool mag.
They're all so wonderful! I just can't decide between Birthday Girl Card by Melissa Phillips, and Vintage Wishes Card by Sherry Wright. The colors are so similar, they're both so pretty and feminine! :)
All of these cards are gorgeous!! I would have to say 'cute and fun' is the style I'm most drawn too. Having three small boys I just love using fun, bright colors. I also enjoy trying my hand at 'classy and elegant' but its more work for me.
The Birthday Girl Card is my personal fave. Love the layers and the shabby Chic style. And that cupcake looks good enough to eat too. ;)
LOVE the Vintage Wishes card! Though, they ALL ROCK! Soooo inspiring to come here! THANKS!
All of these cards are gorgeous!! My style tends to be "cute and fun" - having three small boys I love using fun, bright colors in my cards. I also enjoy trying my hand at 'elegant and classy' but its more work for me.
I'd love to have a copy of this magazine!! In my heart I'm a Clean & Graphic/Fun & Cute cardmaker but I have access to so many great thrift stores that I really would love to develop a Shabby/Chic-Vintage style with what I've accumulated. I'm already inspired just by these examples!
All the cards are beautiful! I'm always drawn to a clean and graphic style and that's why Teri's card stands out to me.
that classy peacock feather card is fabulous! normally I'm a cutesy kind of gal, but that card just rocks! :)
I'd have to go with fun and cute because that's the type of card most people I know would like to receive. They're fairly quick to make and mail more easily than cards with LOTS of embellishments, ribbons, jewels, etc.
I think I'm a clean and graphic girl but my style changes with my mood.
Love Kim's card!
I love a mix of Vintage and Quirky!
I love a mix of Vintage and Quirky!
LOVE the shabby chic look. Looking forward to the new book!
The birthday girl card by Melissa is most kin to the type of creativity I gravitate towards. So vintage and soft and feminine - love it! And I haven't missed a special PC issue yet! PC ROCKS!
Looks like a fabulous issue. Love Kim Kesti's fun and colourful card! Thanks for the chance to win.
this is a great idea!!! I cant wait to get this magazine! i'm not sure what style I have yet-think I am still experimenting with them all!
Hi, WOW, I would love to win that....
I like many styles, but the first one
created by Kim is my favorite....I am a sucker for anything japanese
related...
Birthday Girl Card by Melissa Phillips is so soft! But I also love Kim Kesti's lanterns... Sorry--I'm a little indecisive! Too much goodness abounds!
Thanks for a chance to win some goodies!
I'm definitely a "fun and cute" girl! LOL Although I love clean lines in a design, I love all of the fun little details that go along with the "fun and cute" style. It's my favorite part of cardmaking!
I love Melissa Phillips card and her style. I visit her blog often for inspiration, but just can't seem to replicate the beautiful work she does...guess it's not necessarily my style :(
I'm definitely more of a clean & graphic kind of girl. I have a background in design, so that's probably why I'm most drawn to that style.
I love Melissa's Shabby chic card!
Kim Ketsi's card is my style. Fun, bright, punny! I am a sucker for a pun and for whimsy!
Melissa P's card is just awesome, love the soft romantic, shabby chic look! Just so my style.
Oh, how exciting! I can't wait to get this magizine! I carry around Card Creations Vol 8 and A Card A Day, all day, everywhere! I love all the work of all of you very talented ladies!
I really love every card, but I think somewhere between the Your Day To Shine and King of The Remote, are more my style, but I have and love the papers of Peacock Feather! Oh, but the Birthday Girl card is so soft and beautiful! I love the vintage, but that is where I struggle!
Thanks for the sneak peaks and inspiration!
I can never decide which style is my favorite. Both to create and admire. I like themall!
Love those shabby chic and vintage style cards both....they kind of go hand in hand. Can't wait to see this new issue!
I'm a "Vintage" and "Shabby Chic" gal! I try "Fun and Cute" but it seems to end up more Shabby Cute! Why??? I "need" this issue to help me!
I love the vintage look and cannot wait to get my hands on this issue!!
Oh wow - do I love the cupcake and shabby chic b'day card - whoo hoo - writing down this special issue and looking for it at B&N
I find myself somewhere in the middle of clean & graphic and shabby chic. My designs are more determined by who I'm making them for.
I would just LOVE to have that fantastic mag in my hands!! You wouldn't be able to get my nose out of it!!!!
Love the peacock feather card! I've had an idea in mind for ages to use a real feather and love to see it in use!
I like the shabby chic and vintage cards the best. The soft, romantic colors and soothing nature of these styles just make me sigh {happy sigh}.
Definitely the fun & cute style! I would say that is similar to the style of most of my cards...but I'll make cards in other styles, depending on who will be receiving the card!
There all gorgeous cards, but I think I'm a Fun&Cute girl!
The Peacock Feather card is just so pretty. I like dabling in all types of cards.
Have a great weekend,
Hugs
Tanya
How fun! I love getting new ideas for cards. The lanterns on Kim's card are so cute! I'm looking forward to picking up this issue.
I love the peacock feather card. So elegant and that feather just adds the perfect touch. TFS.
The peacock feather card is my fave - so classic.
These cards are all awesome! I especially love Kim's lantern card - so colorful, and impeccably colored and misted! I could only hope to do "fun and cute" like Kim does!
Love the classy and elegant style. But fun is also good.
I like Windy's card. The peacock feather makes it so elegant!
Melissa's Shabby Chic is well "CHIC", love the color combo and all of her yummy elements. Her stuff always speaks to me
Love the colors in 'your day to shine' by Kim. I'm seeing Japanese lanterns everywhere this summer...must get me some of those!
I always find myself drawn to Melissa Philips style cards, shabby and sparkly and girly and vintage! I don't do that style best, but I sure do love looking at it :)
I love,
Kim Kesti's card "Your day to Shine" This card is simple, colorful, and the design is easy to follow. My style is ever evolving, but I have almost never been good at simple! Back to the basic of design!!!!Sometimes I pie on too much and do not know when enough is enough! I do like all the cards! And I know the amgazine will be awesome!
What doesn't inspire me? These cards are fabulous! I really love the peacock feather and the popped up cupcake!
I love Kim Kesti's Shine card! The colors are so happy and the background is great.
I am still working on what is my style. While I love both the vintage and the shabby chic, I tend to make the clean and simple. Not sure if that is because I am still learning all these "new" techniques or if that will be my style LOL.
Oh, man, why do you keep torturing me by asking me to pick one. I could wax rhapsodic about each and everyone. But, close my eyes and pick...Windy Robinson. It's different. But I really love them all.
I struggle with white space so I love the "King of the Remote" card!
I lean towards Vintage & Shabby Chic. Buttons, lace and ribbons are my favorite embellishments.
Oh the King of remote is so my husband! But I loved the card by Melissa Phillips...absolutely superb!
Please send me one! Never get one in my country!
I love the king of the remote card! As for me I like different elements of all of the styles out there, maybee I could find a way to combine them all!
I find myself drawn to the clean and graphic look for my cards, but I really envy the people who can pull off shabby chic and vintage.
loving the brightly colored lanterns!
These cards are terrific--I like 'em all but the ones that speak to me the most are the fun Japanese lantern card and the shabby chic one. I'd love to browse through this issue.
I love vintage things but my style tends to be more fun and cute.
Birthday Girl is my fave
Shabby Chic! I love this because my crafting skills were passed down from my grandmother to my mother and down to me. So, the use of older techniques (crepe paper, rock glitter, etc) are something I was taught among other things.
Love the shabby Chic...but all the styles are great. Melissa's card is lovely!
I love Kim's card. The colors are so bright and cheery!
I love the one with the Peacock feather. Feathers are all the rage!!!
I love the vintage, I just can't do it! Really looking forward to this special issue...
All the cards are just fabulous. Can't wait to see all the creative and inspiring MOJO in this mag. I love all the kinds of styles, but I'm going to say the peacock is my fav, cuz I just love peacocks.
I would say my stlye is probably closest to Teri's - more clean and simple. But I LOVE Melissa Phillip's card and WISH I had the ability to make everything as soft and lovely as she does. Her blog is my favorite of all that I follow! She's awesome! :)
Fun and cute are my current fav!
I love vintage but all the examples are lovely! I can't wait to get my hot little hands on this new issue!!
The Peacock card is my Fav!
The colors just speak to me!
Shabby Chic and Vintage by far.
The magazine looks very exciting. Looking forward to it.
Yeah! This looks awesome! The peacock feather card is stunningly beautiful...
My fave is the peacock feather card! Classy, elegant and simple is what I lean toward!
My fave style--shabby chic; my fave trend--sewing! Wow, a two for one in Sherry's beautiful Vintage Wishes card! They are all so beautiful!
Blessings,
Christine N
My favorite is the king of the remote. So exciting to see what everyone thinks about style. Now if only Paper Crafts was sold at my local bookshop, humm...
My cards tend to be clean and elegant more than anything else..
The shabby chic style is always beautiful to me but not my style at all!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Melissa's shabby chic cards. I would like to say that's my style, but don't quite seem to have it perfected like she does. Guess I really NEED to check out this magazine issue! :^)
Usually I'm a clean and graphic girl, but I like to dabble in a little bit of everything.
I'm drawn to Windy's peacock feather card. I'm starting to see peacocks everywhere. I think it's the next hot trend.... like owls.
Love the cupcake Shabby Chic card with the soft colors and style the most. Always a favorite. Can't wait to see the new issue!
I love Kim's card, since "fun and cute" is mostly my style. The others are beautiful, just more out-of-the-box for me.
Love the peacock feather card--lovely and unique!
I love the colors in the whimsical lantern card
Love the clean and graphic. That's what I aim for most of the time, but I would love to develop my skills in other styles as well. Sounds like this issue will be real interesting!
I L♥VE shabby chic with vintage a really close second!!
Oh those paper lanterns! I love Kim's card! The color combo, the coloring of the image and the patterned paper. Looking forward to this edition.
Usually a fun and cute or graphic gal but love all the designs@@ Great job...looks like a great issue!
What wonderful cards!!!! My favorite would definatly be the Peacock Feather Card. That one just jumps out at me. LOVE it! Thanks for the chance to win this fab book!!!
I love Windy's peacock feather card - "touchable" cards are some of my very favourites to make. Thanks for the chance to win!
I do love me some vintage goodness! The cards are all great, and I can't wait to get my hands on that magazine! Thanks!
I love shabby chic cause I'm a girlie girl but that king of the remote card is fab!!!
"Your Day to Shine" is so bright and clean. Thanks for these great card ideas!
Shabby Chic~love the soft colors and layers.
Love them all and can't wait for the issue, but I must admit to being a die-hard fan of Melissa's work. Thanks!
I love all things Vintage so I like the Vintage ones the best . . . but I really like them all.
I LOVE Kim's "Your Day to Shine" card. I use a lot of line stamps that I color in so that style appeals to me.
I am very drawn to the last card, the vintage one. I love the mix of the shabby, aged look with the blue bing. Love, love, love that. Thank you for sharing!
I guess I am a shabby chic and vintage kind of gal! I always thought about my style and you nailed it for me! Your newest book sounds fabulous and I hope I win one of the copies. Here's hoping!!
I think I am a combo of fun and cute and shabby chic. DOes that make me fun and chic?? Gotta get this issue!!!
ALL of these cards are great and fun! But i just love the TV card! It made me smile instantly!
They're all fantastic, but the peacock feather card really grabbed my eye!
I love the look of King of the Remote Card today but I could like a different one tomorrow.
All the cards are lovely but I love Kim Kesti's style. I love the fun layout and bright colors! Thanks for the chance to win!
Hard to pick just one! But I have to say that I'm enamored with Melissa's birthday card! So many added details, like the lace and the crinkled ribbon make it special.
DeniseB
I'm torn between elegant, shabby chic & vintage.......elements from all 3 appeal to me and my ever changing moods!
My favorite is the Birthday Girl card! So pretty and....girlie!!!
king of the remote is the most similar to what i like to do. simple graphics and simple fonts are my favorite.
Love the classy & elegant look of the Peacock feather card. A classy card works for almost every situation!
My fave is Kim Kesti's card b/c of the colors & clean style.
Love shabby chic, but I also appreciate a clean and simple card...I guess it depends on my mood :) All these cards are beautiful!
My favorite style is clean and graphic, because I love, love, love white space!
I love them all, but I must say that Kim Kesti's card really speaks to me! I love it's clean lines and bright colors!

I'm a huge Kim Kesti fan - love her clean and graphic style! Love the look of this mag!
They are all fantastic but I'm more a shabby chic gal so I love Michelle & Sherry's cards
I love the colors and images in Kim's festive card!
The shabby chic card appeals to me most. I love the patterned papers and the lace. It's beautiful. I do have to say that I've been drawn to CAS cards as well.
I love the "Its your day to shine" card because of the colors are so vibrant and also the card keeps your interest by following the string of laterns.
My favs would have to be the "fun and cute" and the "vintage". Looking forward to seeing more!
Total Shabby Chic girl! Love the cupcake card.
I am most definitely an elegant and classy girl. I would love to have a look at this issue and see all the other great projects!
The Birthday Girl cupcake gard is definately yummy and girly!
Birthday Card Girl is very pretty. I think that it is my favorite. I also really like the one with Asian lanterns on it...
I love 'em all....but the Shabby Chic is my fav.
xoxo Karen Lee
I love Shabby Chic, even though my own style is fun and cute.
I'm a shabby chic girl, all the way!
Clean and simple tend to be my style. I love the fashion idea! My favorite card is the peacock feather because it is classy with a twist. Looking forward to seeing the new magazine.
Love the shabby chic look. The cupcake card is so cute with the soft colors.
Kim's card appeals to me the most. It's closest to my style. However, I love shabby chic/vintage...I just can't pull it off. LOL.
I'm liking the little details of Sherry's card. Looks like a fun issue!
Melissa Phillips's gorgeous birthday card is just my style: crocheted lace, pretty colors, and a sweet cupcake! Woohoo for a new special issue--can't wait for Tuesday!
Your day to shine, bright, graphic, fun. Love it!
These cards are all gorgeous! I am partial to the shabby chic/vintage style, though. Love the soft colors and beautiful papers and embellishments! Can't wait to see this new issue!
Vintage--that's me through and through! I didn't know this until your post. I find myself drawn to all the bling and flowers and lace and layers of it! Wow! Now I know and I am thrilled! Thanks for asking!
I saw a little of me in all the card styles but since I have to choose just one, I'd go with clean and graphic. All the cards were very inspiring!
Love Melissa's stuff! Man, that woman is talented!
I love the rmote card, just what is needed in this house. The peacock feather is brilliant as well, very elegant.
Hard to choose between the shabby chic and the vintage - they are both beautiful. But I always love the distressing and laces involved with shabby shic.
I have to say that Melissa Phillips' shabby chic card is my favorite. I think that's because I would love to be able to make cards like her. I just love that style!
Vintage Wishes is my fav because the vintagy look is my thang!
Birthday Girl by Melissa Phillips is my favorite. I'm so inspired by Melissa's style, and love following her blog, as well as the blogs she designs for.
My style is kind of between shabby chic and fun and cute. These cards are all awesome!
I just love Wendy's peacock feather card. It's beautiful.
As always Melissa Phillips' wonderful sense of design shines, even with the use of a very familiar theme ... the cupcake. But I also found the card with the Peacock feather very appealing both for it's elegant use of motif and the addition of the feather gave it an unexpected freshness.
All of the cards are great, but I have to say that I always head in the direction of Melissa and Sherry. Their cards are just so beautiful.
My favorite is the Your Day to Shine Card - love the colors and details on the laterns. I'm just starting out after a really long break - I'd love to see this issue.
I love all these cards! I can't wait to get my hands on this issue! I think my favorite is the Vintage Wishes Card because I used to sew and I love old patterns. I can see another old pattern envelope on a card on the front of the new book! Yay! Might have to go to the garage and see what old patterns I have out there...
While the Vintage cards are my favorites, I love all these cards shown. Sometimes I just don't have time to create the vintage ones, so the classic, elegant ones are what I strive for then. They're all fun to make, though.
I love that last card - Vintage Wishes. That shabby chic style was too cool!
I LOVE that peacock card but they are all quite beautiful! Can't wait to pick up the magazine!!
I am in love with the shabbu chic cupcake, followed very closely by the wonderful vintage card!
