In the final day of our Countdown to 2010, I wanted to share some of my favorite posts from the past year. You wouldn't believe how excited I get every day to tap out these blog posts, but these are the ten posts that I most enjoyed writing. See if you remember them. If not, I've provided a link to refresh your memories.
In January, I had a friend who was having a difficult time, and in If I Could I Would, I put her troubles in a handbag and wished her worries away:

A little while later, I discovered that empty nests come with revolving doors when our youngest moved back in with us. We had just painted the bedroom to serve as a guest room and I was getting ready to choose a bedspread in A Spread of Bedspreads.
In February, we chased the winter blues away in a post entitled Some Late Winter Cheer with some images from Pottery Barn Kids.
Which leads me to the supposition that some of my favorite blog posts to write are those where we take an adventure together, one that we could only take in the Moxie Fab World. For example, in May we went to Prom Night together:

...and later that month I said, "Let's Celebrate Summer with a BBQ in the Moxie Fab World":
I had a lot of fun ranting about one of my favorite "pet" peeves--putting dogs in ridiculous costumes for Halloween--in a Moxie Fab Fashion Show for Fido:

...and I had a TON of fun putting together a blog post in which I showed you wallpaper from 2Modern.com and compared them to paper crafting products in one of my I'm Just Sayin' blog posts:

But I must admit, my all-time favorite posts to write are those in which I write my own poetry as I did in Autumn's at Our Doorstep:

...You Will Not Last 'til Dawn:
...and in From My House to Yours: Merry Christmas Again and Again:

So there you have it, friends, the blog posts I had the most fun writing in 2009. And while I loved putting these posts together for their visual appeal:

...and while we had some fun learning about paper cutting and renowned artist Nicki McClure, I also thoroughly enjoyed our interviews with designers in our Ask Arounds, the trends to which we were introduced by other editors in our Editor's Choice feature, and I had a literal blast in our Valentine's Day Week, our Winter and Summer CHA Weeks, our World Tour of Card Making, and our Blogiversary Week.
Which makes me realize, as I've been counting down to the next year in the Moxie Fab World, how much this place really means to me. That you come to visit as often as you do, that you comment as supportively as you do, and that you participate as enthusiastically as you do makes it all the more rewarding to me personally. As 2010 begins, my hope is that we will have had this much fun and more when it ends, that we will know one another better, and that we will have made even more friends along the way. For really, you are what makes this place truly moxie fab, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that.
May 2010 bring hope, health, happiness, and moxie fabulousness to one and all,
May 2010 bring hope, health, happiness, and moxie fabulousness to one and all,

Cool...first post of the new year. So, had to go with the doggie costumes. I cringe every time I see it. The poor critter. But they are cute some times. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year--may 2010 bring you many blessings, joy, and laughter. I had to go with the bedspreands. The one on my bed is threadbare and we are in desperate need of a new one. I have been waiting to find one that I love and my practical husband wants to "just get one". I'm going back to reread this post to get inspired and maybe fall in love with one--I hope so. I also voted for the Pottery Barn kids post b/c I love their whimsical and fun items. When I leaf through the catalog I want one of everything and I'm not a kid:-) The last one that got my vote was the Halloween post b/c I was blown away by the amazing things that you created. Here's to another year filled with Moxie World fun!!!!
Your "If I Could I Would" was true gift from a friend. I loved the "You Will Not Last 'Til Dawn - it was so creative! They are all wonderful!
Wishing you a great new year!
Barbara Diane
I did not find your blog untill October time frame of 2009. I am glad I did! Happy New Year Cath!
Happy New Year! I love the Late Winter Cheer - Pottery Barn Kids - love the colors and the owls.
I personally like the clean & graphic challenges, why you ask? Because I was one of the winners! :) Thanks for a great year of blog posts, challenges, give aways, and lots of inspiration! Happy New Year! :)
Happy 2010, a new year! Thanks for all your work and fun! I loved the bedspreads anmd the revolving door story that went with it. The colors were just so imazing and the story behind it wonderful!
Happy New Year Cath! I really loved when you showed us how closely the trends in wallpaper and patterned paper were. However, honestly (as I'm sure most people would agree) all your posts are fab and I have really enjoyed visiting your blog over this past year and I am sure I will be by just about every day in 2010 too! :)
Happy New Year. I loved the blog post on the late winter cheer. About that time, I was needing a little cheer and it was a perky blog post.
My favorites are the ones including your poetry - the best! I also enjoyed, "I'm just saying."
Loved the 4th of July post-so much inspiration in those photos.
My fav post- you've got to be kdding??? I love them all!! But Autumn is my fav time of year, the colors, the scents, the sights, the textures- so I will say the autumn posts!
i loved I'm Just Saying with all the wallpapers, and the animal one was my fav so I'm excited to see it on here again ;) hehe, happy new years!
Happy New Year Cath! Wow I'm really enjoying all the countdowns. I just love all your inspiring and creative post every single day. I really look forward to seeing what you have in store for us. I would have to say that one of my favorite was Halloween and just loved your banner too.
Definitely the wallpaper post!
I loved your Halloween post with the sillhoettes on the windows, etc... I think that is one of my favorites from the last year. It shows just how creative you can be if you put your mind to it.
I have definitely enjoyed your blog and following along this past year. Such fun!!
I am one that likes to have a break from the winter doldrums so the Pottery Barn Kids post was so refreshing and one of my favs last year!
I'm a fan of Fido... those costumes were just too cute!
Happy New Year to all!
I voted for 'Some Late Winter Cheer'...just LOVE those colors and OWLS!!
The dog costumes was one of my first experiences with the Moxie Fab World so it holds a special place in my heart. Thanks for all the work that you do on this amazing blog! Happy New Year.
I voted for "I'm Just Sayin'" because the wallpaper/crafty goodness combos rock! However, I'm a relative newbie to this blog -- the Pink post you mention at the end was my introduction to the blog, so if I could've voted for it, I would have -- and now I'm hooked!
Happy new year! Loved the I'm Just Saying post and of course the poetry. I check out this blog every day for great inspiration.
"You will not last until dawn" is probably my favorite. I am awed by your creativity and talent, and I love Halloween!!!
I loved the indepth interview about nikki mcclure! So cool to know more about the artists and their world.
Loved the colours and textures of Autumn's at Our Doorstep!
You Will Not Last til Dawn was a favorite of mine. I love the fall season and Halloween in particular! I also remember the dog costumes and thought the Silver and Gold photos and words were great. Many of the earlier ones I didn't see because I hadn't found the blog yet.... but when I did, I bookmarked it and have been a regular visitor ever since! I will have to go back and visit some of the earlier posts. Thanks for your always fresh blog!
DeniseB
I love them all, but I loved the Halloween and Christmas ones, as well as the Pottery Barn Kids one. I love your blog! Keep up the great work for 2010!
Happy Happy New Year 2010!!! Sometimes we all need a big smile and I voted for Moxie Fab Fashion Show for Fido, 'cause that was one of the biggest smiles of the day! Though I don't put costumes on my dogs, they were tooo darn cute! Thanks for the 2009 inspiration and I look forward to 2010 inspiration!
Loved the poetry and I'm a huge fan of Halloween!
I love the dressed up doggies. After that my fav is the handbags and putting your troubles in the bag. Happy New Year!
to pick a fave is kinda hard! but i love the i'm just sayin one!
happy new years!!
If I could I would is so sweet, it seems like it absolutely sums you up as a person, doing so much for others.
I love the I'm Just Saying posts -- there is always something that just makes me go "WOW!"
Happy New Year!!! I think my fav was the Bedspreads! I love the array of color and designs - almost like looking at artwork - what am I saying - it is artwork! Hmmm..I may go back and see if I can still order one of those spreads!
Happy New Year from the Netherlands!! I kinda like all your posts ;-)
A nice break in my day at work!
Thank you for all the inspiration!
Happy New Year! My fav was the dogs in costume, too funny~
I enjoy all your photos but the I'm Just Sayin' wallpaper was probably my fav. My other passion is decorating and home decor so it was so fun to so such unsual wall decor. Happy new year to you - looking forward to the first Moxie Fab Challenge 2010!
Happy New Year! I love your poetic posts, but I was especially fond of the costumes for Fido, that was so funny.
I have to say the Fido Fashion Show, because I'm with you on this one! I don't think any self respecting dog would actually 'enjoy' or appreciate being dressed up like that. Shoot, my two doxies wouldn't last 15 seconds in a get-up like that!
Becky g.
I loved the late winter pictures and post so inspiring but I loved the silver and gold pictures to the words. So beautiful! Keep up the fantabulous blogging!
I loved the visual of the I'm just sayin' wall paper post. And, really, who doesn't secretly love a dog in a ridiculous costume?
I loved going to prom with you, Cath! You were a lovely date, unlike my first prom date who was (and still is) a complete loser.
Happy New Year! 2010! I voted and it worked this time yea! I voted for I'm just saying. I loved the wall paper inspirations.
Happy New Year Cath! Truly enjoy all of your posts, especially anything that you start off with "I'm just sayin'..."
I voted for the following 3, Autumn, I'm just Sayin and Bar b Que. I am so glad to be a part of this Moxie Fab World!
Happy New Year everyone!
Cath -
I loved your poem "You Will Not Last Til Dawn". There was something very Edgar A. Poe about it. And I just adored the decorations you posted on the blog entry - fantastic job.
Happy New Year!
Elaine Allen
Happy New year Cath...
I totally voted for the I'm Just Saying Post...because that's what I do all the time. I see the whole world through a paper crafter's eyes. Everywhere we go I see colors I could use and patterns I need to copy. My kids see that look in my eye and laugh..The world is our oyster!
Happy New Year. I enjoyed the wallpaper and the Halloween posts. It has been a fun year. Thanks for a chance to win.
Happy New year! It's hard for me to pick one post that was the best--I love all the cool photos and images of the fab and cool--I really like the wallpaper you showed us, I love all the new paper products and bling you show us--you rock! I also love to meet some of the designers--you do a Purrrfect job of keeping us informed!
Happy New Year! I just can't resist the doggie costumes. Just too cute!! Second is the Autumn post.
What's the best about Moxie Fab? Its a fun and inspiring place to visit...thanks! :> I chose Let's Celebrate Summer with a BBQ, I'm Just Sayin', and Autumn's at Our Doorstep. And yes, I might have been influenced a wee bit by the pics! :> Happy New Year!!
I love the bedspreads ... makes me dream about redoing our bedrooms!
Seriously? All of your blog post's are awesome. I always look forward to whatever you have in store for us. I voted for I'm just saying because you picked a wallpaper that I had been eyeing for my daughters room. It's nice to know we have great taste ; )
Loved the "I'm Just Sayin'" post. It's fun to see what's trendy in home decorating is also trendy in papercrafting!
You know my favorite post was the From My House to Yours Christmas post - I love how you set the poem to images! Happy New Year and here's to another fabulous year!
My pick is Fido. I can understand a sweater or jacket especially in cold weather for short-haired dogs, but some of the costumes--Oy!! I do have to admit some of the costumes are really cute, though. lol
love the Halloween stuff and the Pink collection!
I couldn't pick just one favorite! I love all the Friday inspiration pictures you posted throughout the year. In 2010, I hope to incorporate more of them into my crafting!
I love the pottery barn kids bc I love those colours! I wish I was a kid again.
My favourite post was your very first Tuesday Trigger! It was fun to watch a new challenge be birthed!
My top 3 and why: If I could I would-because when a friend or family member hurts, I HURT. Some Late Winter Cheer-because the items you showed were SO cute. I wanted to be a kid again. Fashion show for Fido-because I'm a sucker for a doggy in drag. The only way it could be cuter would be if my doggy, Mickey (Mouse) were featured. I won't bore you with how wonderful he is...
My favorite was fido. The costumes made me laugh out loud.
Happy New Year, Cath! I loved your "From My House to Yours: Merry Christmas Again & Again!" post. I just love seeing everyone's Christmas decorations. I also loved it because I noticed that your daughter Rebeccah's stocking is the exact same as the one my mom made me when I was younger!
This is just too hard to pick one favorite since I come here everyday to get inspired. I love seeing what you've discovered and challenge us with each and every day. Thanks so much for all that you do for us.
I love the bedspreads. I usually peak through Crate and Barrel to see some new designs in their bedding and I knew I was onto something when I saw your post on bedspreads!! Now I look at other places too! Thanks Cath! Happy New Year :)
My fav is still the autumn post...I mean you cannot beat poetry and I think the colors of autumn burn in my memory. I am looking forward to it already!
I love all of your post but my top three fav's are Some Late Winter Cheer, Let's Celebrate Summer with a BBQ and last but not least I'm Just Saying!
Late Winter Cheer...Pottery Barn catalogs always give me so much inspiration!
The dogs in their costumes are hysterical but I love the cheeriness of the pottery barn kids post with the whimsical lamps.
Great year! I voted for the prom night post, because that's about the time I found you!!! And I've been inspired daily since! :)
Happy New Year! I cannot narrow it down to just one but I do love the eye candy you offer. Since I also sew, I love the fabric and fashions that you show.
The bedspreads! Great colors and such yummy textures!!
I just first want to wish you a fabulous first day of the new year!!
Late winter Cheer was my favorite, I think because of the soft pretty colours, and the owls are just too adorable. I have to say though you've done a tremendous job putting together each of the posts, and I find some of my greatest Home decor and Scrapbooking ideas from visiting Moxifabworld :o)
Happy New Year. I love the Halloween post, I really like the tree it looks so cool.
I would have to say the Some Late Winter Cheer post. I love polka dots and owls!
lisa a.
yeah, they all are cool.
i love the "if i could i would".
smart solution :)
I really enjoyed the poetry that was included. Over the River and Thru the Woods was wonderful! Loved it! Happy New Year!!
My favorites are the Ask Around posts because I always come away so inspired by the featured artists.
Halloween was my fave - You Will Not Last to Dawn. Wonderful year, looking forward to 2010!!
They were all really fun.... I loved the wallpaper & the BBQ and the cutie puppies...Happy New Year!
I always stopping by your blog and just reading. You are always very captivating and eloquent in your words. I loved your "If I could I would'...the perfect word for a friend in need. I also voted for the fantastic Halloween post...and your "I'm just Sayin" was very informative and even a bit funny. I do love ALL of your posts...I'm Just sayin!! LOL...Your blog is one stop I love to make as often as I can!
Another tough choice! Your blog posts are the best! I've gotta go w/ the I'm Just Sayin' posts - the visuals you compared were pretty amazing! The prom dresses were a lot of fun too. And - I'm glad you had fun putting together your poetry posts, because we enjoyed reading them! Thanks for all the insightful and inspiration blog posts this past year - can't wait for more in '10! :)
Autumn's at your door is delightful - and I think it is the color - we're gloomy, dark and gray this day in Seattle... :(
I'm Just sayin' that comparing wallpaper to scrapbbook paper was pretty cool. Talk about being able to imitate life with your art.
Late Winter Cheer; living in the northeast, I am always ready for that by February. Happy New Year!
I went with the handbag one! Good idea and wish it was that easy, but I am sure it helped!
I loved going to prom night!
For it's sentiment, I would, hands down, pick the post about the handbags! What a great idea...and I may have to copy that idea and send a little bag to a friend with a note...probably a copy of your blog post!
But for the sheer color inspiration, I'd pick your post about the empty nest and its revolving door!
I had to vote for Fido - cracks me up everytime and doesn't matter what day it is - they are too cute! (Although I imagine Fido is a bit humiliated that their humans dressed them so.) (LOL)
I'm new to the blog, so had to go back and read...but the I'm Just Sayin' post was my fav. The other 2 I voted for were the bedspread one and winter cheer one. Well, I love beadspreads and hope to one day have an empty nest...and I LOVE pottery barn kids but my kids are too old...so I will have to wait for grandkids! LOL
I really enjoyed the playfulness of the doggie costumes...it still makes me smile to think about it!
The dog blog was the best. It just touched my heart. Then I loved the wallpaper with all the wonderful designs and colors which really spoke to me. Lastley I like the kid's pottery barn because of the cool pastel designs which was so inspirational for the middle of a gloomy winter. Happy New Year!!
happy new year!!! fido fashin is my fav because bullogs rock! Love the prom night because the purple dress reminds me of the 80s and the owls of winter are just too cute!
I love the "I'm just sayin'" The patterns on the walls are too cute!
Happy New Year!I have only been reading your blog for a few months but looking at post "Late Winter Cheer" it looks gorgeous- especially the soft toys and the lovely pastel colours.
Happy New Year!! The wallpaper post was great, and I really love the posts with the poetry you write! To be honest, I didn't realize you had written the poetry until reading this post, but they were some of my favorite posts this year!! What fun it is to be in Moxie Fab world for a little while each day!! I thank you for all your amazing work in putting this together daily!
Thank YOU for all you do. So much fun and oh so inspiring.
I love the Bead of Spreads post and voted for that one. I think it was just so many splashes of bright colors that really got me. Made me want to redo our Master room!
Happy New Year
"Let's Celebrate Summer with a BBQ in the Moxie Fab World" is my favorite. Loving all those bright warm colors! I use them all the time in my scrap booking.
I love your Five for Friday posts - so much eye candy and inspiration in them! But of the ones you put in the poll, I'm Just Sayin' is my fave - you've got some attitude, girlie! =D
The Prom Night post was my fave. Those dresses were so dreamy.
Thanks for the chance.
Happy 2010!
my favorite was the autumn post - the season and the colors always inspire me - i even bought the autumn posies from the etsy site. looking forward to a great 2010 with you.
my favorite is the bedspreads then i am loving the wall photos with the butterflies....its all yummy stuff
well, my favorite was Let's Celebrate Summer with a BBQ in the Moxie Fab World" because I really love to spend time with people and there is nothing better than to share with a BBQ.
I was and am inspired by the spread of bedspreads. I love the color choices!!! Looking forward to seeing what the new year holds!!
I really enjoyed the wallpaper post. I love coming here and seeing what you've thought up for us each day. I dont know how you do it, but I'm glad you do! Thanks!
It's hard to believe that a year has already slipped by! I discovered your blog in late January, but of course went back further for reading. My faves were Autumn's At Our Doorstep (colors so pretty), You Will Not Last Until Dawn (fun) and Let's Celebrate Summer With A BBQ (great projects).
My favorite among the list is I'm just saying. I love seeing those wall paper designs in patterned papers.
The Moxie fab fashion show for Fido...how funny. Those poor babies although the hot dog was just so cute.
favorite post of the year? Could you have asked us to boil the ocean? You produce the most wonderful inspirational posts ... and you ask us to pick one?
Sorry can not do it!
Happy New Year!
Sandra
Okay---I really would have difficulty voting for one of these! I just love all of the colors and items in each of them. I really am a anti-favorites kind of gal! (Actually, DH would call it indecisiveness! LOL Oh well, I just love all things bright, colorful , vintage, etc!!)
Ah, prom night was fun, fun, fun! Don't you think?
I just love the Autumn on the Doorstep one (although those dogs are something!). I LOVE Autumn, and anything and everything that goes along with it!
Happy New Year! I'm hoping that 2010 will be a year when I finally win something...LOL!
"If I could I would" was definitely my favorite!!!
I love all the posts! But the doggies in costumes brought the biggest smile to my face!
I don't have grandchildren just granddogs and they have my heart so loved the doggie costumes. I can relate!!
I agree - wallpaper/scrapbook comparison piece was awesome.
I'm just sayin... but any of the posts with your poetry would be next!
The pooches are cute!
I didn't have time this week to do much blog hopping but I'm catching up now! So disappointed that I didn't get to vote though!
Blessings,
Christine
I loved the dog costumes - so cute!
You Will Not Last 'til Dawn was my fav.I love Halloween and your kitchen was boo-ti-ful.
I like the post where you showed wallpaper samples and paper crafting products that were similar. It is interesting how all different industries have similar trends.
Happy New Year Cath! I have enjoyed whole your blog, but my favs post it was about about trends in patterned papers and new collections. Also "Some Late Winter Cheer" - wonderful colours, my favorite!
The doggie posts were cute and fun!! I love bedspreads but the Wallpaper post was excellent. Let's raise a glass to 2010!! I'm with every day all year long Cath!
Happy New Year! I just love the puppy costumes! Then would be the lovely bedspreads and "I'm just sayin". Thanks for a fun year!
I like the Fido costumes because every year I make a new costume for my dog for Halloween.
i love the Some Late Winter Cheer post! sooo cute!
You will not last until dawn so inspired me that we are redoing all of our outdoor Halloween decorations.
Carrying the silhouette theme to large plywood cutouts that will stand in the yard. AND than I showed it to my mailman who is also a Halloween junkie and he loved the idea also. So we have made plans to get together in February to start on our creations. Not only cool new deco but a new friend to boot-thank you.
I love any post that are about dogs and I love these costumes!
