I know you've got a lot to cross off your list today, so let's get right to it, shall we? I give you the winners of the Christmas in the Old Country Challenge!
We begin with these cute little gnomes created by Windy Robinson:
Peace & Noel Gnome CardsMoxie Fab Alert: I just love that these are shaped cards. Windy has captured their gnomy gnature with their tall hats and their homespun stitching. And the patterned paper she's chosen sends me straight to Scandanavia, the place where I'm just certain these little guys call their gnome sweet gnome.
Old Country Snowflakes Card by Rachel D (violin 28) Moxie Fab Alert: I feel like I'm strolling down the streets of Amsterdam when I look at this simple folksy card. It's got an understated bit of old country charm which is accentuated by the font in the sentiment. Moxie fab, Rachel! Moxie fab!
Matroyshka Gift Card Holder from NinaB (Croatia)Moxie Fab Alert: This merry matroyshka doll not only captures the spirit of Christmas perfectly, but she "nests" as well. Be sure and click on the link to see why she's so special!
It's Christmas Time Card by Kelly MarieMoxie Fab Alert: Kelly Marie has given this old-time wallpaper and clock some new-fangled funk by stamping the clock on the Hambly frame. I love the modern twist Kelly Marie has given to this old school timepiece.
The Holly & the Ivy Card by Kathryn at KTC Moxie Fab Alert: Oh my gorgeous card! This is completely hand-cut using the Schereneschnettte technique that we explored when we spent some time with artist Nikki McClure a few months ago in the Moxie Fab World. I so admire this card because of its painstaking attention to detail, the moxie fab mirrored folk images, and the incredible execution with which it was created. Kathryn, I bow to you in awe and amazement. Friends, be sure and click on the link to see how the magic played out on Kathryn's Kitchen Table.
Other moxie fab projects include Aga, Amy H., Tiffany Johnson, Travelingmama, and Rosemary D. Thanks to everyone who stepped out of the box and gave this a go!
Speaking of giving this a go--I'll have another challenge for you tomorrow straight from the November/December issue of Paper Crafts magazine, and trust me, there will be something in this one for absolutely everyone!
Winners, please send me an email with your address and "Christmas in the Old Country Challenge Winner" in the subject line to cedvalson@papercraftsmag.com and I'll work on getting your prizes and Moxie Fab World Challenge Winner Badges out to you ASAP!
What once was old is new again,
~Cath
PS There's still time to submit your never-seen-before moxie fab cards to our ultimate card making special issue, Card Creations, Volume 8! Be there or be square! I'm just sayin'! Click here for the 411.

A BIG congratulations to all the winners and honorable mentions. Oh, thank you so much, Cath, for picking my card. It's such an honor to be picked among these talented ladies. This was such a fun challenge for me. Since I represent 3 cultures, "old country" (which I thought is synonymous with "home") can mean 3 places. It was just a great way to celebrate different cultures. I can't wait to see your next challenge.
Congratulations to all the winners! fab cards!
