Tuesday Trigger: Topping the Table

I was so excited to learn last week that so many of you are enjoying our new feature: Tuesday Trigger. Thanks for all your feedback! I’m also excited to link up this week’s Trigger Targets—projects that rocked Laura O’Donnell’s trigger last Tuesday:

Good job, friends! Thanks to everyone who played for keeping the inspiration fires burning! :)

This week’s Tuesday Trigger comes from Megan Lock who said:

I saw these darling little napkins for the BIG meal. I say it's big because it's my first year to host and I have to cook the turkey {shaking in my boots}. I think there'll be two people here to help me, so we should be okay. Anyway, here are the napkins:

Monogrammed Embroidered Icon Hotel Napkins from Williams-Sonoma

I made placecards based on the pumpkin napkin. I love the monogram and it reminded me that it would be a nice touch to have little pumpkiny placecards for everyone. I used the PTI set, 2009 Autumn Tags set. There were these little buttons that were leaves and acorns that worked perfectly for this project. The names were stamped with Making Memories magnetic alphabet. The leaves in the background added a nice autumny feel.

Pumpkin Placecards by Megan Lock

Aren't these just so fun? I love the color palette, the leaves in the background, and the seasonal nature of this project--I know that I've been thinking about the placecards for this year's Thanksgiving table, how 'bout you?

Thanks to Megan for providing us with our inspiration this week! I can't wait to see how you're inspired by her Trigger! Let the linking begin!

It's a terrific Tuesday!

~Cath

PS Would you like to be our Tuesday Trigger for next week? If so, please follow this procedure:

  • Submit your own triggers to this email account: tuesdaytrigger@gmail.com Please do not post the trigger on your blog.
  • Provide me with your image of inspiration, an image of the project that you created based on your trigger, and a brief explanation of how/why you were inspired, like Megan has done today.
  • Trigger images can be anything you find to be inspiring, but must be credited properly with appropriate URLs. If a site asks you to get permission beforehand, please do so.
  • Take a sharp photo of your project that is minimally propped (or not propped at all) with no distracting backgrounds. Provide no more than 1-2 detail shots (which may or may not be used.)
I will select Tuesday Triggers based on quality, seasonality, and inspirability. You may submit as many Tuesday Triggers to the email account as you'd like. The current Tuesday Trigger call will last through the end of December.

Great trigger! Hey Cath when is the deadline for this? I didn't do mine for last week until last night, so I'm sure I missed your deadline!

Wonderful trigger! Aren't those napkins adorable. The place cards are a nice touch and a good compliment of the trigger. Thanks so much!
