O, Greenly and fair in the lands of the sun.
The vines of the gourd and the rich melon run,
With broad leaves all greenness and blossoms all gold,
Colorful Fall Day Whimsical Landscape by reniebritenbucher
Like that which o’er Nineveh’s prophet once grew,
While he waited to know that his warning was true,
Deep Pumpkin Spices Ribbon Scarf Boa from kiamichi7
And longed for the storm-cloud, and listened in vain
For the rush of the whirlwind and red fire-rain.
Ripening Pumpkin Dyed Leiscester Wool Locks from TheFlyingEwe
On the banks of the Xenil the dark Spanish maiden
Comes up with the fruit of the tangled vine laden;
Pumpkin Spice Kanzashi Style Flower Brooch from PetalMix
And the Creole of Cuba laughs out to behold
Through orange-leaves shining the broad spheres of gold;

Yet with dearer delight from his home in the North,
On the fields of his harvest the Yankee looks forth,
The Line-Up Fine Art Print from noteworthyphotos
Where crook-necks are coiling and yellow fruit shines,
And the sun of September melts down on his vines.
From North and from South come the pilgrim and guest,
The old broken links of affection restored,
And the worn matron smiles where the girl smiled before,
What calls back the past, like the rich Pumpkin pie?
When wood-grapes were purpling and brown nuts were falling!
Glaring out through the dark with a candle within!
Our chair a broad pumpkin,--our lantern the moon,

Swells my heart that thy shadow may never be less,

I find the Pumpkin One Button Neckwarmer as the most inspirational due to the rows in the weave and the color contrast between the yarn and the button. However, I adore the little felted pumpkin photo. What a great selection of photographic inspiration!

That little polka dotted orange and brown elephant is SOOOOO cute, how amazing and different would your nursery be if you used orange and brown instead of the norm?
With Fall being my favorite season it was hard.

I like the one-button neckwarmer & the Autumn Harvest earrings.
I love when you do the poems interspersed w/photos. Would it be too much to ask to use some different font to make the lines of the poem stand out more from the photo description?
That pumpkin apple butter soap looks and sounds good enough to eat! I think I need to make a card inspired by it.
I love the white stacked pumpkin, I wanted a white pumpkin this year, but couldn't find one :(
Ah - not making it easy for us are you Cath? First you gift us with these fabulous images and then want us to pick a favorite, oh boy! They all in one way or another speak to me, but I find myself drawn to the felted pumpkin, the painted pumpkin, and the three white pumpkins. See a theme here? LOL! I love pumpkins and pumpkin pie is my all time favorite - I like it plain, no whipped cream. Just the flavor and texture of that wonderful pumpkin - oh yummy! Ok, now I want pumpkin pie, or how about pumpkin stuffed ravioli, or pumpkin bread . . . or wait, pumpkin cookies! Egads! See what you've started!
Elaine Allen
The painter in me loves the landscape painting.
The Line-up print was fabulous! How did they ever set that up? Also, the crochet hat with the yellow flower, so cute!!
Pumpkin Pie Face scrubies.. I love those colors together!
And the those motley sheep! What a ragtag group! Reminds me of a medieval fight scene..the peasants banding together to take on the enemy... Those pumpkins no doubt never made it!
Wonderful photos, and they're all inspiring in their own ways. What really caught my eye the most is the Autumn Harvest Earrings. They have a nice vintage look to them, with great colors. Thanks so much for sharing all of it. :)
I may be weird but the pumpkin dyed wool is my fav. It's such an inviting image with so many different hues in the colors I love. That and it's a raw supply that begs to be made into something wonderful with so many artistic possibilities. Inspiring!
That iron on elephant patch!

I love the little elephant and the painting is just gorgeous!
I dont know a lot about crochet, but I am blown away by the crocheted nesting bowls. I've never seen anything like them and may have to see if I can buy some to display in my home.
I have to say the image the poem brought to my head is the best one for me, since I'm from New England and we use to go pick a pumpkin for my Mom to make pie with...years ago I'm afraid. Thanks for the memory of a warm kitchen, my Mom in her apron and I by her side on a chair picking out seeds!
For me...its the pumpkin soap!! Lovely design!! And I bet it smells wonderful!
I love them all! I love the colors and textures of the wool and the pile of face scrubbies in fall colors and the felted pumpkins and ...
So many cool images! I would choose the Ripening Pumpkin wool locks as the most inspirational. I love the blend of rich, fall colors and the beautiful texture that just pops off the screen.

The spotted elephant totally caught my eye!!! I dream of doing prints with this similar style. It SO inspired me!!!
The pumpkin is one of my favorite inspirations. In fact, I did my daughter's entire, first birthday party around a pumpkin theme. I absolutely love the Pumpkin Spice Kanzashi Style Flower Brooch. It's gorgeous! Happy Thanksgiving!
I narrowed it down to choose from three of them and finally chose the pumpkin slippers to inspire me to get out my crochet hook and yarn and make them for my cold toes. Thanks for the inspiration and give-away. :)

pick one????? oh thats a toughie but the polka dotted elephant is killing me!
Orange is one of my favorite colors - and the pumpkin apple butter soap? oh yea ... !
I would have to say the sheep and the season's bounty photos struck me the most. This season I have suddenly become drawn to orange and pumpkin shades like never before. It was never 'my color'; but somehow, in the past few weeks, I've simply loved its vibrancy and energy and richness. Thanks for the poem, especially.
And happy Thanksgiving!
