Let’s take our inspiration for our next challenge straight from the November/December Moxie Fabs column, in Paper Crafts magazine, shall we?
Entitled Christmas in the Old Country, this column is all about channeling the ghost of Christmas past—and he is global. We traveled to to Russia to sample the merry matroyshka and the symbol of motherhood that she is:

A Watched Clock Never Chimes by traceface on etsy.comIt's trendy travel to say the least, and the designers for the column emulated these styles for Christmas in the most moxie fab ways imaginable:
Folk Art Holiday Card by Betsy Veldman, p. 26Moxie Fab Alert: Betsy used the "flip" feature of her die-cut machine to create these trendy mirrored Dutch folk art images.
Moxie Fab Alert: I love how Debbie has used "old country" patterned papers to create this Christmas matroyshka with a stamp set.
Moxie Fab Alert: This card is right on-trend because Teri has combined a delft blue pattern, a silhouetted cuckoo clock, and a lacy scalloped border punch to create her old country look. And you know I love the sentiment--it's a play on words with "time" being echoed in both the spirit of the season and the time that is chimed by the clock.
