Gradient is Radiant Challenge Winners

After having to make a pile of agonizing decisions, I've got the winners of the Gradient is Radiant challenge, friends.

As I was bopping about from blog to blog, taking a look-see at all your projects, I loved how many of you said that you thought this challenge was out of your league, but after seeing what kinds of projects others had posted, you decided to put your toes in the water after all! I love that all y'all inspire each other in such powerful ways. I may provide the spark, but you all fan the flames!

I loved all the different ways that you approached this challenge as well. To create the gradient effect, many used ink, some used cardstock, and still others used patterned paper and paint chip strips. Clever!

There were so many strong entries, I wanted to give a shout out to the following designers for a job well done! Click on the links, friends, and see what great ideas these ladies had for this challenge: Aga, CraftBelle, Hollie Shepard, Jinny Newlin, Kelley Eubanks, Maricel F., and Sarah Martina.

Ready to drool over the winning projects, friends? I had to get a napkin myself, my drooling was so severe. Check it:

Gradient Tree Card by NinaB (Croatia)

Moxie Fab Alert: I had a strong emotional reaction when I saw this card for the first time. I love the way Nina has placed gradient color behind the tree which gives us the sense of the changing seasons, fitting absolutely perfectly with the sentiment.

Hey There Pumpkin Card by Amy H

Moxie Fab Alert: The gradient in this card is subtle, but I love how it goes from a light orange in the center to a darker shade towards the back, using pattern to help achieve this effect as well. The gradient helps to enhance the 3-dimensional aspect of the card and I love that she used the trendy burlap in the background giving this card a fun, primitive feel. Moxie fab!

Old China Butterfly Card by Vanessa Menhorn

Moxie Fab Alert: Vanessa's approach in this card is to apply gradient color to make something from nature, in this case a butterfly, look just that: natural. I mean, if you think about it, nature is mostly comprised of gradient color. Besides, the techniques she has used to create the butterfly have made this one of the most stunning cards I have seen in a while!

Gradient Chevron Card by Anya Schrier

Moxie Fab Alert: OK. I love that Anya has taken this trendy chevron background and morphed it from deep purple to red-orange to orange to light orange. What a moxie fab effect!

Thinking of You Card by Maile Belles

Moxie Fab Alert: This is a fantastically well-composed card. I am swept away by the gradient treatment on the left-hand side of the card with those rich hues moving from light to dark as you move from the inside towards the outside of the card. The tearing gives the gradient a softness that aids in the transition from right to left. Well done, Maile! Well done!

Winners, send me an email to cedvalson@papercraftsmag.com with your address and Gradient is Radiant Challenge Winner in the subject line and I'll send you your Moxie Fab World Challenge Winner button (if you don't already have one) and I'll get your prizes out to you right away!
What do you think, friends? I'm sure our winners would love to hear from you! Leave them a comment by midnight MDT on Sunday, October 18 and I'll draw a random winner to win a moxie fab prize!

Be sure and stop by tomorrow, friends! I've got a new challenge for you that will fluff you up for sure!

Thanks for making gradient so radiant,

~Cath
