If I were to really think, you know, dissect, the emotional reaction I have to its lines, I would have to say it is a combination of its simplicity and its color schemes.
There is a lot to be said for simple. There is even more to be said for color schemes that reach deep down inside and tickle my fancy.
And themes? Well, we all know how big vintage is--our current obsession with scooping up the past and tasting its bygone flavor is the order of the day. October Afternoon serves up their style with a clean and simple approach to vintage, then delivers some sweetness with the delicious color combinations that just make me want to come back for more!
For instance, in these papers from the Report Card collection, I am taken back to the old school books that I used in elementary school, though trust me they never came with coordinating patterns and colors like these:
