Let's talk winners! The two comment champions of last week's Moxie Monday giveaway are *kathleen* and Kathy Kelsheimer! Send me your addresses, ladies, and I'll get the Glitzmas collection sent out to you ASAP! You can always find me here at cedvalson@ckmedia.com.
Now friends, I'm hoping that it's not too late in the season to be showing you this last Christmas line for Moxie Monday. I'm thinking there are still gift tags and wraps to be made, and maybe even some last minute cards, for which this cutie-pie retro-vintage line from K&Company would be poignantly perfect.
For those of you who like a softer, more nostalgic approach to your projects, this line is for you. And of course, once again, I'm completely enamored with the name, Swell Noel. I wish I'd thought of that one myself. I could go around saying "Have a swell noel!" instead of the traditional, "Good golly, let's be jolly!"
For names of lines mean a lot to me. I'm the same way about paint names. If I love the shade but think the name is lame, I'm likely to go with something else. Although my husband, Mark, has put his foot down on that once or twice. Our hallways are painted a pale yellow called sheepskin. A yellow sheepskin? Do you know where I'm going with this? I'm just sayin'.
But Swell Noel? Now that's just swell!
As are these papers that send me straight to the middle of the Dah Who Dor-aze circle in the 1966 Grinch cartoon. I'm swinging Cindy Loo Who while I sing along with the other Whos in Whoville. And look, there you are, too!
And here's your advent calendar, all on one piece of 12 x 12 paper:

And what is it about these little deer on their own snowbank islands? Am I conjuring up images of Rudolph on the Island of Misfit Toys? Do they look a little forlorn, but in the sweetest kind of way?
And here again, that punch of red in the midst of all that blue, pink, and green. And notice, it's got some Dutch folk art overtones as well:
And how cute would this little village be, the halls all decked with Swell Noel?
Now folks, I've got a complete set of this product to go to one lucky winner. It includes the entire line including the Village Paper Pad and a storage folder! Leave a comment here that tells me what aspect you love most about this line by Thursday, December 11 and I'll draw a random winner!
Before I sign off to get my ducks in a row for the announcement of the next super fun Moxie Fab World Challenge tomorrow, I want to remind all y'all that your Pretty as a Peacock projects are due tonight at midnight. So upload your projects to the Moxie Fab World Group following these instructions and I'll post the winners on this blog this Wednesday. I can't wait to see what all comes in!
Speaking of Wednesday, it happens to be a big day here in the Moxie Fab World. You have until midnight to leave a comment here to win a prize, and your Card Creations, Volume 7 submissions are due in all their glory. Click here for all the details.
Thanks for stopping by today, my most excellent friends! I can't wait to see you here again in the Moxie Fab World tomorrow!
ETA: I just got the sweetest e-mail from Sheri Seibold, the designer herself of Swell Noel. She said, "It truly delights me that you not only like the line and the name, but you totally get it! I mean you get it!!!...Thanks for making Swell Noel sound so inviting. I love what I do and I love even more to find others who enjoy my creations."
Isn't it just so stinkin' nice for her to say so?
But wait, there's more! Sheri offered to send me button pins of her artwork on a card that is signed! Now how's that to sweeten the deal? So, not only does the lucky winner get the Swell Noel prize package, she also gets this personalized memento from the artist herself! Tell your friends, folks, this week's Moxie Monday just got a whole lot moxier!

Wow! fabulous papers. I love 'loose snowflakes' literally.
This line is so cute!! I love the paper with the squares on it!!!
Is there anything cuter than little reindeer?!?!?! I just bought a mini paper mache house that I covered in pp and glitter and oh my, do I LOVE it!!! I would have such a blast with that little village!!!
Oh, these papers are so beautiful. I love the colors and the trendy but old look to them. When I look at the ornament paper and the bell paper, they make me think that I need to cut out some of the images and make them dimensional. That is my favorite part. Love this line!!!
The muted colors and soft shapes of these papers are soothing, and the patterns remind me of Christmases at my Grandma's, when she put out the Christmas village from Sweden on cotton batting and decorated her cedar trees with shapes cut out of the newspaper.
Oh my gosh! It IS Cindy Loo Who! LOL! I really love the paper with all of the separate square images! That one sheet could really get a lot of mileage!
I just love the new Swell Noel line. I bought some as soon as I saw it - just to look at if I can't bear to use it yet! Makes me think of Christmas when I was a child, when handmade was good - so pleased that is all coming around again!!
simply a-dorable!!! The colors are magnificent and the patterns just make me *smile*...the jolly sqares are fabulous!
OOOO - I absolutely LOVE it - so cute and perfect for the holidays!

OOOH I love too much the vintage feel the soft colors. As the Mom of girls that wear only these colors even at Christmas the line is perfect!
I love the Bell paper! It reminds me of somehting the "Who" people would use in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas movie!
What great papers -- I love all K & Co. papers and embellishements.
Love the non traditional Christmas colors of the paper. So soft looking. Love the vintage look of K & Co papers. Have made several anniversary cards using their paper.

These papers take me right back to being 7 and believing in Santa. The Christmas village is adorable and I just know my 9 year old would love to design the houses and put it together with me!
I love the advent paper because it would be good for tags which I would add glitter to the images.
I hadn't seen those papers yet!!! It's never too late for more Christmas. =)
Well, I'm a sucker for anything K&Co. I already bought their other new Christmas line, so I couldn't justify both, but those little houses are too cute.
What an awesome line! The papers with the ornaments make me think of Christmas when I was a child. And I love the village! I can see myself putting it together with my grandson. What a fun time for he and Grandma!! :o )
I love that the papers use "non-traditional" Christmas colors/hues.
